Maryland's top fiscal leaders this week said that state revenues may weather the swift and unprecedented shock of the COVID-19 pandemic -- and shutdown measures to contain it -- better than expected. But, the Board of Revenue Estimates -- a three-member panel which includes Comptroller Peter Franchot, State Treasurer Nancy Kopp, and Secretary of Budget and Management David Brinkley warned the ongoing uncertainty of the pandemic will continue to make an economic recovery challenging, more so if a second federal stimulus package isn’t approved.

BGE, a MACo Gold Corporate Partner, is partnering with WBAL-TV to bring back its popular STEAM-based educational activities.
To help engage, educate and inspire elementary school students to become energy safety and efficiency superheroes, BGE created Energy to Learn program. This program includes more than 20 curated lessons and activities designed specifically for elementary school students.

The STEAM-based activities focus specifically on electricity safety, natural gas safety and energy efficiency. Each activity can be completed in less than 30 minutes and can be easily incorporated into existing lessons plans.

All Energy to Learn activities can be accessed any time below. To help you navigate the activities more efficiently, we’ve organized them by topic: electric safety, natural gas safety and energy efficiency.

When your students complete all the Energy to Learn activities, celebrate their achievement and download a customizable participation certificate below.
