Dear William Paterson University Students, Faculty and Staff,

We are pleased to announce the arrival of Aramark as the dining services provider for William Paterson University!

Aramark serves leading educational institutions, Fortune 500 companies, world champion sports teams, prominent healthcare providers, iconic destinations and cultural attractions, and numerous municipalities in 19 countries around the world. Aramark is recognized as a Best Place to Work by the Human Rights Campaign (LGBTQ+), Diversity Inc, Equal Employment Publications and the Disability Equality Index. William Paterson joins more than 500 colleges and universities working with Aramark to meet the needs of students.

Aramark is committed to working with the University to ensure a safe re-opening, while still providing delicious food from a variety of cuisines and venues. This fall they will provide retail dining, resident (meal plan) dining, and catering, in accordance with current State regulations and following appropriate health and safety protocols. Floor decals and Plexiglass barriers have been installed to manage traffic flow and social distancing, and frequent cleaning, sanitizing, and removal of self-serve items will help to meet high standards for health and safety. Customers can review Aramark’s extensive protocols at https://wpunj.campusdish.com/COVID19Information.

Because of the significant decrease in the number of students, faculty and staff expected on campus at any given time, not all dining locations will be open when we begin the semester on August 24th. The Center Café (next to the Bookstore) in University Commons and the Campus Restaurant will be closed for the fall semester and Café 1600 on Valley Road will be closed for at least the first two weeks of the semester while we gauge foot traffic and dining services demand in that building, and determine how best to create a program to meet the needs. Catering will be restricted to packaged and pick-up service until indoor dining, beyond exempted school and College/University cafeterias and dining rooms, is permitted in the State of New Jersey.

The good news is the Paterson Food Court, Wayne Dining Hall, Einstein Bros Bagels and the W Store (in Century Hall) are open, and you will see new stations, cuisines and menus.

Following are highlights of what you can expect:

Retail
  • Rebranding and relaunching the Paterson Food Court offerings with Oath Pizza, Ignite Grill, Tenders Love and Chicken, and Bento Asian Cuisine & Sushi.
  • In the coming weeks, a newly refreshed and rebranded W Store, offering a variety of grab & go options for your convenience as well as a made to order food program, designed to elevate your late-night dining options.
  • Routinely updated meal exchange combos available at every retail location in the Paterson Food Court.
