REALM
Online Giving and Reporting

The end of the year can be rather busy, especially as we try and continue to do things remotely. Did you know that Highland has an online system to enable you to both give and check on your giving balance? It is called - REALM www.onrealm.org/HighlandPresbyterian

By clicking on the above link you will be directed to a "sign in" page. Use the email that the church has on file (the one that you receive this at) and don't worry if you have forgotten your password, click on the link that says "Forgot Your Password?" and reset.

When you login you should see a page that has a Community tab, click on that and then click on "Giving" in the menu. (If you don't see the Community tab, you are already on that page and you should also find "Giving" in the menu.) This brings you to your giving statement (current to the last deposit entered by our book-keeper twice a month).

There is also another "+Give" button at the top of your statement. Click on this button to give to any of our Offerings or special collections from flowers to Heifer. You will see "Fund" with a downward arrow at the far right that allows you to pull down a menu and choose the item you would like to give to.

If you just want to Give Now you can also follow this link: https://onrealm.org/HighlandPresbyterian/give/now

You will be asked to sign in, and then taken to a simplified window with a similar "Fund" line and downward arrow on the right with a menu to choose from.

We all probably don't visit this site as much as we should, but with a few minutes exploring you will find useful information and ways to easily give online. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact Louise Dye louisedla@aol.com.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
Pledge Cards

You should have received a letter about the financial health of Highland Presbyterian Church and your part in this mission. This letter contained a pledge card. As the Session looks to finalize a budget for 2021, it is very important that we receive the information that this pledge card contains. If you haven't already, please plan to either mail or bring in your pledge card to Highland Presbyterian Church, 10024 Highland Rd, Baton Rouge, LA 70810, as soon as possible. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Treasurer Dave Adams.

Advent Devotional
Joy to the World
available for pickup
November 29

As the season of giving begins, Highland has a gift for you - an Advent devotional book, Joy to the World, by John Piper. The 25 brief devotional readings begin on December 1 and carry us to Christmas Day. Our prayer is that God would use these readings to deepen and sweeten your adoration of Jesus this December and keep him as the center and greatest treasure of your Christmas season. For those not present at church during this time, watch your mailbox.

The Gift of Literacy

This Sunday Highland will dedicate 2 books for each of the 64 first-graders at Magnolia Woods Elementary. This long-term project has brought a special gift to many children in our neighborhood over the years. While the books are wrapped and ready to go, there is still a need for funds to purchase gift cards for the teachers of these precious children. If you would like to contribute, please contact Connie Buck.

Poinsettias

Each year Highland decorates its Sanctuary with poinsettias dedicated in memory, honor, or gratitude for those in our lives. If you would like to donate funds to purchase a poinsettia, there will be a form available in the bulletin on Sunday, Nov. 29. If you are unable to attend, you can mail a check for $10.00 per poinsettia with a note containing the name/s of who and how (in memory of, in honor of, or in gratitude for) the poinsettias should be dedicated. If you would prefer to pay online, REALM is available. Please make sure you also email the HPC with your dedication wishes. Poinsettias will adorn the Sanctuary beginning Sunday, December 13. Please make sure your donation and infor-mation is received no later than December 9.
