School Counselor
Hello! My name is Karen Kielpikowski and I am the school counselor here at Notre Dame of De Pere. I wanted to share with you some things I can help your child with while here at school. In addition to teaching weekly lessons in the elementary classroom, I also offer opportunities for students to meet with me individually or if appropriate, a small group setting. Topics that can be discussed include friendship, problem solving, coping skills, dealing with strong feelings positively, family or school concerns as well as helping them make good choices. If you have a concern about your child, please do not hesitate to contact me. I am here Monday, Wednesday and Friday and can be reached at (920)-337-1115 or any day during the week at [email protected] I look forward to a great school year!

MAPs Testing September 8 - 30
MAPs Testing Window: 9/8/21 - 9/30/21
Starting this next week, your child will begin taking tests called Measures of Academic Progress® (MAP®). We give students MAP tests to determine your child’s instructional level and to measure academic growth throughout the school year, and from year to year in the areas of math, science, reading, and language arts. Your child will take these tests on a computer.

MAP tests are unique in that they adapt to be appropriate for your child’s level of learning. As a result, each student has the same opportunity to succeed and maintain a positive attitude toward testing.

A healthy body leads to a healthy, active mind. Here are some guidelines for successful testing
  • Get plenty of sleep throughout each week.
  • Eat a healthy breakfast
  • Arrive at school on time
  • Please avoid unnecessary absences.
