Dear families of 3rd-5th grade girls,
Have you heard about Girls on the Run or has your daughter participated in GOTR in the past? Have you never heard of Girls on the Run, but are interested in a program that inspires girls while integrating exercise? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then GOTR might be just the program for your daughter to be involved in this fall!
Girls on the Run "inspires girls to be joyful,healthy, and confident using a fun, experienced-based curriculum which creatively integrates running."
Girls on the Run at Notre Dame of De Pere
When: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00-4:30, September 14-November 4;
5K celebration run on November 6
Where: Girls will meet in the Notre Dame cafeteria and (weather permitting) will move outside to do their activities and workout around the block.
What: Girls will start out with a healthy snack and then begin some team and character building activities, before moving into the workout, which ties in the daily theme, and finish with a group discussion/takeaways.
Program Leaders: Mrs. Ledvina (4th grade teacher at NDDP) is the site liaison and coordinates the program at NDDP, provides the healthy snack, and fills in at practices as needed. We have a handful of coaches, some returning and some new, who are excited to lead the group at each practice!
Register: To register your daughter for GOTR at NDDP click here.
We hope to have your daughter join GOTR at NDDP this fall!
