What Kind of Specifier Are You?

During a recent webinar, the presenter asked the audience, “How many of you have experienced a coating failure?” An architect responded, “how would we know when a coating failure occurred? The project is complete, and we’ve moved on.” At first, I thought “yeah, you’re right.” Then, I took a step back.

How often does the architect or specifier follow-up on the successes and failures on past projects?

If a specifier does not remain open to understanding what worked (and didn’t work) in the past, how can he or she ensure that the right selections are made in the future. Capitalizing on those successes and avoiding previous missteps is critical to sustainable building.

Creative Spaces for Working and Learning
It's back-to-school season, but many kids will begin the year at home with online classes and their working parents. We ask architects (the most creative people we know)...how do you carve out dedicated space in your home to keep work and/or school inspiring?
If you've got a creative space, email us a picture. We'll share your ideas in next month's newsletter.
