BEL AIRE
WELCOME BACK
ANNOUNCEMENTS!
It's happening!
We are days away from re-opening our campus to many Bel Aire families!
We are excited, and we need your help. How? By helping us, help your child(ren) understand changes and expectations.

But First: We really need to hear from ALL Bel Aire students!
 STUDENT SURVEY REMINDER
Parents have received a handful of surveys, but we also want to hear from students. Please encourage your students to take this SHORT student survey as soon as possible to help us understand what has worked, and what has been challenging in their Distance Learning experience thus far.

Now, back to school...

• • • • • • • •
Please help your child(ren) prepare for a return to campus by explaining that our new protocols may be inconvenient but they are both necessary and temporary.

★ WATCH OUR NEW VIDEO FOR STUDENTS
Please spend four minutes reviewing THIS VIDEO with your child(ren) to help them prepare for a successful re-entry.

 ENTRY/EXIT REMINDERS
Parents must complete the Daily Health Check questionnaire (emailed via Actionaly) prior to sending their child(ren) to school each morning.

• • • • • • • •
Students cannot enter classrooms until parents submit the daily health screening.
• • • • • • • •

 STUDENT DROP-OFF & PICK-UP LOCATIONS
Without exception, grade levels are assigned to the following points of entry/exit:

3rd Grade & SDC | Bottom of the driveway on Karen Way
4th Grade | Corte San Fernando Cul-de-sac
5th Grade | Corte Palos Verde Cul-de-sac

• • • • • • • •
Students will follow colored arrows and balloons
from their point of entrance to their classroom's line on the blacktop
• • • • • • • •

NO VEHICLE TRAFFIC AT ENTRY/EXIT POINTS
Families arriving by car, need to designate a pick-up & drop-off location away from the immediate entry/exit points. Crossing Guards, staff, and signage will be redirecting vehicle traffic away from both cul-de-sac entry points.

*Note: Bike racks will be available at each point of entry/exit.

• • • • • • • •
We encourage families to drop-off and pick-up as far away as possible.
Doing so:
provides important exercise,
protects bikers and pedestrians from vehicle traffic,
minimizes disruption to our neighbors, and
helps keep cohorts stable by avoiding student gatherings while they wait.
• • • • • • • •

PARENT REQUESTS FOR EXCEPTIONS & ACCOMMODATIONS
All families must agree to adhere to the plans regardless of personal beliefs about their necessity or the level of inconvenience they pose. We understand that families have compelling reasons for these requests (e.g., siblings, learning pods, after-school care, multiple households, learning preferences, proximity to a particular entrance, work schedules, etc.), but we can't accommodate the requests - nor do we have the capacity to even respond the volume of emails being submitted with pleas for exceptions.

 COHORT GROUP ARRIVAL INFORMATION

 TIMELY ARRIVALS & DEPARTURES
Students will not be allowed on campus until their arrival time.
If students miss their arrival time, they will have to return at 10:00am.

• • • • • • • •
At 10:00 am, tardy students will need to wait outside the front office,
where staff will meet them, and send them to class (pending health screening).
• • • • • • • •

 RESTRICTED PARENT ACCESS TO CAMPUS
We encourage parents to conduct school-related business virtually as much as possible.

• • • • • • • •
For business that requires a parent to be on campus, we ask parents to restrict office visits to 10:30 AM to11:30 AM.
