Live Music: We've all missed live music performances, so al Fresco off Main is bringing it back! Enjoy local musicians at Lunchtime Concerts Thursday, Friday (11am to 2pm), and Saturday (noon to 3pm).
Lunchtime Concert - Thursday, March 11th: Jay Allan (pictured) plays what is known as funky-folk, blues rock. While remaining true to his own roots, Jay often taps into and pays homage to such influences as The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Bob Marley, Tom Waits, Bob Dylan, and The Black Crowes. (Appearing 11am to 2pm)
Lunchtime Concert - Friday, March 12th: Tommy Francesco is a talented singer/piano-player based out of Mesa, Arizona known for his eclectic and colorful interpretations of your favorite rock, pop, show-tune songs and more! (Appearing 11am to 2pm)
Lunchtime Concert - Saturday, March 13th: Playing nothing but the hits, August in Stereo is Phoenix's best Rock 'n' Roll cover band, taking on the Black Keys, Pearl Jam, Sublime, 311, The Cure, Blink182 - even Elvis! (Appearing noon to 3pm)

The new Downtown Mesa Farmers Market, produced by Downtown Mesa Association, is now located at Mesa Arts Center (1 E. Main) as of Saturday, March 6th (8am to 12pm). You'll find the same great vendors you've come to know and love, live music and other events. For a list of participating vendors, click here.

What's Happening at Museums

Experience the art of storytelling at the i.d.e.a. Museum (150 W. Pepper Pl) on a journey featuring art and hands-on activities that nurture creative thinking and embrace the storyteller within us all. Art of the Story will feature stories told through various mediums, which includes visual arts, spoken word, film, animation, pop-up books, novels, short stories, dance, music, and other forms of creative narrative expression.
Mesa Arts Center’s (One East Main St) Classical Music Inside Out series aims to broaden access to and appreciation for classical music with all ages through a diverse range of community engagements. Led by Artistic Director and GRAMMY-award winning cellist Zuill Bailey, the Classical Music Inside Out programs bring the sounds of classical music to Mesa and throughout the Valley. Register here for Bach Cello Suites Part 1 online (April 15).
Prepare for some Fun with Arizona History at Arizona Museum of Natural History (53 N. MacDonald). In the outdoor History Courtyard, explore Arizona's historic "Five C's": Cotton, Cattle, Citrus, Copper and Climate.

Pedal Haus Brewery (201 E. Main): Opening in late 2021, this completely new concept – the “biergarten” – will provide a fun, lively and largely outdoor space to enjoy great beer, delicious food, lawn games, live music and more.
