CCPC Testing Program

Weekly surveillance PCR Covid testing provides an additional layer of safety to all the children at CCPC Nursery School.

These 2 simple steps will help protect our children and
keep our classrooms open.
Receive a free kit from your teacher on the first day of your child's school week.
Children who attend 5 mornings or Monday/Wednesday/Friday, receive kits on Monday and return completed test on Wednesday.

Children who attend on Tuesday & Thursday, receive the kit Tuesday and return completed test on Thursday.
On your designated morning just before school, login and register your test, administer the test to your child, and return the completed test to your teacher when you drop off at school.

Important Notes:
Kits are returned to CCPC teacher, not the DC drop box.
Tests must be given (little noses swabbed!) and returned on the same day to be valid.
What do I do with my online test results?
If your result is positive, notify the Director Noni Lindahl immediately at wnsdirector@chevychasepc.org . If your result is negative, no action is required.
For positive results, we are required to file an Unusual Incident Report with the Education Office, and the Department of Health will be notified for consultation, appropriate next steps, and contact tracing protocols.
What if I miss receiving a kit or returning a test?
Life, especially now, is busy and we understand! It will take time to get weekly testing into your morning routine, but it is important.

Some options if you didn't give the test on the morning it is due to be returned:

You may drop your completed test at the drop box at our neighborhood Chevy Chase DC Library on Connecticut Avenue before 8pm the day you give the test.

Bring the kit to noontime or afternoon pickup, give the test at school, and return to your teacher right then.

If you missed receiving a test due to an absence, you can get it the next day and drop at the library yourself on the day you give the test.
Parents have an important role outside of school in keeping the CCPC community safe.
As cases rise in our area, please remember that limiting your household's overall exposure is the best defense.

Consider keeping play dates limited to your classmates.

Keep your social circle small.

Avoid large public events that are crowded.

Mask up in community settings where vaccination status of others in attendance is unknown.
