Relief Buckets for UMCOR
We’ve seen many heartbreaking natural disasters in the United States this year – the unprecedented flooding in Tennessee, the Dixie Fire in California, and Hurricane Ida, which even affected us locally – just to name a few.
Fortunately, the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) is one of the first to be on the scene to provide relief to those affected… and at Asbury we want to be a part of helping them as they help others.
Asbury in Mission (AIM) is organizing an event to prepare at least 60 Relief Buckets for UMCOR. You can make an impact by donating supplies, donating money, and/or donating time to assemble the buckets. Each bucket contains $75 worth of supplies to help individuals and families clean-up and recover from natural disasters. Supplies will be collected on Sunday mornings at the upper and lower entry doors over the next three weeks (October 10, 17, & 24). UMCOR has a specific list of supplies that are needed, so please visit asburylv.org/buckets to get the full list, to get more details on the event, and to register to help to assemble buckets.
