Dear Covenant friends:

As chairs of the 2021 stewardship campaign, we're excited to speak to you in Sunday worship about what it means to run with perseverance. 

We'll share how each of you can be part of a race unlike any other. It’s going to take your commitment, time, talents and financial gifts to help us reach the finish line.

Our own Cheryl Hoover is a registered pharmacist, cancer survivor and expert on plant based nutrition. Cheryl's book Healthy Living for a Sharper Mind shares her "Pharmacy In Your Kitchen" philosophy to improve your overall health. 

Also tonight: Hear talk, Q&A on addiction
Open Table at 6:30 p.m. via Zoom
Charles O’Dell, CEO and President of the Dilworth Center, will present a program entitled, “What is Addiction?” In addition to his presentation, there will be time for questions and discussion. All are welcome to join the Stephen Ministers for this Continuing Education program.

Our kitchen staff prepares meals available for pick-up on Wednesdays for you to re-heat in the oven at home.

  • Next week's menu: Spiral Ham, Candied Sweet Potatoes, Collard Greens, Fire Roasted Vegetable Soup. Lemon Bars
  • Please order by noon on Friday. 
  • Curbside pickup is from 4:30 to 6 p.m. in the upper parking lot. 
  • Most of the disposable containers are recyclable.
Memorial service for Lynn Penner
Livestream is Saturday at 11 a.m.
Covenant will remember the life of Lynn Penner, who passed away Oct. 14. Click here to join via livestream.

A lifelong educator, Lynn impacted the lives of countless children by instilling a love of learning, reading and exploration. After retirement, she continued to surround herself with children by volunteering her time reading to students.




Zoom worship will conclude
Shifting our focus to a busy Advent schedule
Ministers and staff are hard at work to plan an Advent season filled with readings, music and ritual observances. As part of this transition of time and resources, we are ending weekly 9:30 Zoom worship. 

The final Zoom worship is Sunday, Nov. 22. Advent begins the following week.

Order a wreath in support of children's ministry
Wreaths available for pick-up Nov. 29
Yes, it's that time again! The annual wreath sale supports Covenant children's ministries. Please order by Wednesday, Nov. 11. Supplies are limited. Wreaths will be available for pick-up on the Green beginning Sunday, Nov. 29. 

  • Pick up times are Sunday, Nov. 29 from noon to 1 and 4:30 to 5:30 and Wednesday, Dec. 2 from 5 to 6 p.m. 





Children invited to make Advent wreaths
Wednesday, Nov. 11 at 5 p.m. via Zoom
Gather up the children and join us to make homemade Advent wreaths. Heather Potter, director of traditional music, will join us to introduce the Advent wreath response we will hear in worship.



New opportunity! Sort with Covenant folks
Tuesday, Nov. 10 from 9 to 11:30 a.m.
Join a crew to sort food in support of Loaves & Fishes, a local mission partner providing emergency aid to individuals and families in our community.




Save the date for Moore Place Thanksgiving
Tuesday, Nov. 24
A much-loved Thanksgiving tradition takes on a modified format this year. We need volunteers to pack meals on the Covenant campus to deliver to our neighbors at Moore Place overcoming homelessness.
