The Four Cardinal Virtues: Justice. Temperance. Prudence. Fortitude.

Hello, Raptor Families:

The Four Cardinal Virtues: Justice. Temperance. Prudence. Fortitude.
Temperance is often defined as moderation, and it is a power that helps us balance our lives. It reminds us, as the adage goes, that there can even be “too much of a good thing.”
This week, we encourage parents to discuss the idea of balance in one’s life with their children. Here are some questions for your family’s consideration:
  • What do I need to flourish as an individual? Am I receiving what I need?
  • Do I devote adequate time and attention to my health?
  • Do I devote adequate time and attention to my schoolwork?
  • Do I spend too much time on the internet or social media?
  • How well do I control my urges?
  • What can I do to grow in temperance in the coming days and weeks?
  • COVID-19 - Zero positive cases for the past two weeks.
  • Eighteen students in quarantine due to out-of-school exposures. The students who are in quarantine were not exposed at school.
Please remind your children that they need to continue to wear masks while on the school bus and indoors at school. Thank you for your support while we continue to monitor COVID-19 cases in our community.

This week, our juniors and seniors had an opportunity to attend a college fair at Isothermal Community College. Next week we plan to visit Queens University and UNC-Charlotte. Clubs will also begin next week. Stay tuned for additional updates!

Doing Good in the Neighborhood!

Yearbook ordering & Ad Sales Now Available
It's that time of the year to think about the school yearbook. Online ordering is available now. And, as always, families may purchase an ad in the yearbook to honor their child.
Proceeds from ad sales go toward offsetting the expense associated with the production of the yearbook and allows for additional color pages.
