CMS 5-STAR RATING FOR PATIENT EXPERIENCE
Hammond-Henry Hospital has been awarded a 5-Star Rating for Patient Experience. The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) star rating scores hospitals on a one-to-five-star scale based on the 10 publicly reported measures in the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey, which assesses patient experiences.
CMS assigned a patient experience star rating to 3,478 hospitals nationally on July 31. Hammond-Henry Hospital was one of 266 hospitals that received five stars, the highest score a hospital can receive. The 266 represent 8% of all hospitals surveyed, with 12 of 266 CMS 5-Star hospitals in Illinois.

Hammond-Henry Hospital Vice President of Patient Care and Provider Services Laura Domino, comments, “Hammond-Henry Hospital is privileged to provide quality of care for our neighbors, family, friends, and community. This recognition is a remarkable achievement that the dedicated Hammond-Henry Staff are honored to offer every day.”
NEW PROVIDERS JOINING
HHH MEDICAL GROUP PORT BYRON
Port Byron is increasing the number of providers this month. The clinic, located at 105 N. Main St., added Katie Sowder, APN and Heather Hall, APN to the list of providers. Both Sowder and Hall will see patients at the Port Byron clinic two days a week. These two providers have worked at Hammond-Henry Hospital Urgent Care Clinics and will continue to support those clinics when not in Port Byron. The clinic will continue to offer urgent care and appointments for new family medicine, pediatric patients and established patients. The clinic also offers COVID-19 testing by appointment only. Appointments can be scheduled by calling (309) 523-2015. Office hours are Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Additionally, Julie Brown, M.D. will continue to see patients at the Port Byron office and expand her office hours to two days per week. Dr. Brown will also see patients in Geneseo three days a week. Kari Dodds, D.O. is relocating with her family out of state. The organization extends our gratitude for her time with the clinics and providing great patient care. Patients of Dr. Dodds can expect to be contacted from the Port Byron office to schedule with a new provider. Alternatively, patients may call the clinic directly.
