Dear Volunteers,
We sent you so many communications in the past 60 days - but most were around the subject of the vaccine, and updates on how we are managing thru the pandemic.
It's time to get back to our regular Volunteer newsletter!
Not to be confused with the newsletter that goes out to all CASA supporters, the CASA Connection is only sent to CASA volunteers, to keep you up to date with anything that might be coming up that interests you. I hope you will find some good opportunities in todays edition of the CASA Connection!
You will also notice that we have started to send you a monthly continuing education update. Our Recruiting and Traning Coordinator, Tina, is now managing the compliance related to your continuing education so that email is limited to education. I'll include some opportunities in this email as well.
We don't want to overwhelm your with too many emails, but if we tried to put everything in one newsletter, we think too much would get lost.
I want to report back to you that approximately 150 of our CASA volunteers received their vaccination and are feeling confident seeing their assigned cases in person - with social distancing and other protective measures, of course. I'm so relieved, because really, the only way we can know that our kids are okay is to have that face-to-face contact, reading non-verbal cues. So thank you to everyone who is out there making sure your kids are safe.
As always, I want to hear from you about what you need, or need more of, to support you in your work as a CASA volunteer. Email me any time!
