NJ Senators Weinberg & Greenstein
Shalom and good day.

Two Jewish NJ state senators, Senator Loretta Weinberg and Senator Linda Greenstein, are sponsoring an expansive abortion bill called The NJ Reproductive Freedom Act (S3030/A4848). It is a radical abortion bill similar to the 2019 New York Reproductive Act. Introduced in the NJ Senate and Assembly on October 8, 2020, the bill redefines abortion as a “fundamental right."

Should Roe be overturned, abortion industry providers want to insure huge profits from chemical, surgical, dismemberment, and whole baby late term abortions. NJ legislators want to guarantee massive ongoing campaign contributions from Planned Parenthood. The law would make abortion a state right, mandate that insurance covers abortion with no out-of-pocket cost, and remove what it labels “medically-unnecessary restrictions” on abortion.”

Abortions would be state funded and legal until birth, allow non-physicians to perform these dangerous procedures without providing hospital followup or accountability for medical mistakes, and deny conscience rights to healthcare providers. You can read more about the legislation at LiveActionNews,

and New Jersey Right to Life, where NJ residents can take action to defeat the bill.

Both Senators Weinberg and Greenstein appear to be intelligent, compassionate legislators who advocate for children and families. They both have grandchildren.
Unfortunately, they obviously have little understanding of abortion as an agonizing, tortuous death sentence for young children, or the irreparable damage done by abortion to mothers, fathers, families, and communities. Influenced for decades by abortion propaganda, political influence, and corrupted Jewish opinions on abortion, they've devolved into co-conspirators of the death culture.

Why do we mention the senators, and why take time to contact them? At 85 and 70 years of age, it seems unlikely they will respond favorably to opposing voices or withdraw support for the bill.

It is essential to take action for several reasons:

1) Jews are required to speak for those who cannot speak for themselves, and to advocate for vulnerable and defenseless women and children.

2) As powerful Jewish politicians spearheading a bill deliberately designed to destroy innocent human beings for profit and power, they incite anti-Semitism as they portray Jews as baby killers, echoing past allegations of blood libel.

3) Maimonides teaches us that Jews who publicly deny Torah, mislead other Jews to deny Torah and cause others to sin, represent a grave danger to Judaism. As fellow Jews we are obligated to reach out and give these public figures an opportunity to see the dreadful repercussions of their actions and to redeem themselves.

4) By virtue of our history, Jewish sensitivity to mass slaughter of innocents makes us particularly effective witnesses to human rights atrocities. Not too long ago, we were legally redefined as subhuman, tortured, and murdered, the Final Solution thwarted only by brave defenders of life and liberty. Our voices and actions add indispensable elements to the defense of humans in the womb.
