TIDE
ESL graduate-level endorsement courses through the University of St. Francis are beginning in May. Click here for more information.

The summer semester offerings of TIDE will be available at the end of March.


SHORT-TERM SUB TRAINING
The ROE is offering short-term substitute teacher training on Thursday, April 8. The online training will take place from 5-7 pm, which will hopefully make it more accessible for para-pros and others who work during the day. Please share this information with your community. RESOURCES TO REDUCE ABSENTEEISM

Research demonstrates that missing 10 percent of the school year—for any reason— has a negative effect on student achievement. STEM: SOLUTIONS SHOWCASE
The DuPage ROE STEM Team invites DuPage students in 5th-8th grade to enter the Solutions Showcase. Student teams will produce a public service message about one of three designated topics. Sponsors must register teams by March 26 and submit team videos by April 27. For more information on the event, click here. Registration forms are here.


ILLINOIS READS
The 2021 Illinois Reads Book Festival will be held virtually on March 13 from 10–12:00 pm, and is free to the public. Every year, the Illinois Reads team identifies 36 books to promote: six books each at six different age/grade bands, from birth to adulthood. Illinois Reads activities typically begin in March with a kick-off book festival and conclude with Family Reading Night activities in November. For more information, click here.


T-SHIRT LOGO DESIGN CONTEST
