A Message From the Grand Knight

Good Morning Athanasius ,

I’d like to wish each and every brother Knight and their family a very blessed Lenten season. May we keep our focus on the sacrifice of our Savior, Jesus Christ, dying on the cross for our sins.

Father Dennis is seeking volunteers to help set up, run, and break down the events below. Both events will be held at St. Joseph’s Church. Please consider volunteering. These are penitential opportunities as part of your Lenten sacrifices.

  • Lenten soup dinner on Friday, March 31st, 6:00-9:00 PM
  • St. Joseph’s Table on Sunday, March 19th, after Mass. Help is needed to serve baked goods and coffee. Father Dennis will also need help setting up the day before.

Our Squires will also be on hand at both events. Please contact me directly at 845-551-0033 if you’d like to volunteer.

I’d also like to thank all those who regularly attend council meetings. Your active participation and sacrifice of time is very much appreciated. Please consider making 2023 the year you return to council meetings if you’re not a regular participant. We can always use new and fresh ideas. Our council meets in the gym at St. Joseph’s Church at 8 PM on the second Thursday of every month. I hope to see you there!

Blessed Fr. Michael J. McGivney, pray for us!

Vivat Jesus,

Kevin St. Pierre, GK

Silver Rose Program Celebrates Life

Every year, eight Knights of Columbus silver roses travel throughout North America, stewarded by councils as a symbol of the Order’s unity, devotion to Our Lady of Guadalupe and defense of all human life. On December 11, 2022, the eve of Our Lady of Guadalupe’s feast day, members of the Sisters of Life joined a Silver Rose prayer service at St. Paul the Apostle Church in Yonkers, New York.
