HELLO, SUMMER! LET'S CELEBRATE!
THIS SUNDAY | JULY 18 | 6:30 TO 8:00 PM
You and your family are invited to a big summer celebration right here at VRBC THIS Sunday, July 18! We'll have games and music, and plenty of refreshments to keep you cool. Bring chairs or blankets for you and your family and plan to meet us on the south side of the church from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. There will be ice cream to enjoy while we hang out and have fun! Invite your friends to join us!

SUMMER WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDY
TONIGHT | 6:00 TO 7:30 PM | JULY 14, AUGUST 11
Join us this summer as we gather at VRBC for a study of special women of the Bible. We'll meet one Wednesday a month from 6:00 to 7:30 pm and will focus on a different woman each evening. Our next gathering will be TONIGHT, July 14. We will study the Woman at the Well and we'd love to have you join us. We'll also share a meal and enjoy lots of fellowship and conversation. BEGINS THIS SUNDAY | JULY 18
Each year during VRBC's Backpack Drive, we deliver backpacks filled with school supplies to neighboring children at Tom Landry Elementary School and the surrounding area who need assistance. This year, our goal is to fill 160 backpacks, which will be given to the families we have been serving through Sack Summer Hunger. The church will provide the backpacks, and the congregation is asked to provide the needed school supplies.
Empty backpacks will be available for pick up in the church lobby after the worship service THIS Sunday, July 18. A school supply list will be enclosed for your use in purchasing school supplies. Feel free to pick up and fill as many backpacks as you would like! Please return filled backpacks to the church on Sunday, July 25, or Sunday, August 1. SINGLE ADULTS SUMMER COOKOUT

Calling all single adults 30+! Let's gather for an awesome summer night of food and fellowship! We'll meet on the south lawn right here at VRBC, on Friday, July 30, from 6:30 to 9:00 pm. THE CHRISTMAS STORE AUCTION: IT'S BACK!
SAVE THE DATE | THURSDAY | OCTOBER 7 | 6:30 PM
Back by popular demand . . . the VRBC Christmas Store Auction! This very special event gives our church body the opportunity to raise money for our annual Christmas Store, benefitting families in South Dallas, Valley Ranch, and Coppell. There will be great food, live entertainment by Uptown Violins, plenty of church-wide fellowship, and fun! This year's theme is: "Dallas: Big Things Happen Here!"
We will have a variety of items to bid on and a marketplace selling homemade goods. Childcare for children ages 6 months through fifth grade will be provided. Ticket information and more details are coming soon but mark your calendars now for this great event. You don't want to miss it -- big things are happening here!

On Sunday, August 1, we will celebrate baptism in our morning worship service at 9:30 am, and we would love for you to be a part of it! If you are a follower of Jesus but have never been baptized, this is a great opportunity to take that step. If God has been nudging you to be baptized, we'd love to visit with you about it! JOHN HEWLETT: CELEBRATING 20 YEARS
SUNDAY | AUGUST 15 | 9:30 AM
Make plans now to join us for a special Sunday worship service on Sunday, August 15, to celebrate and honor Pastor John and Johanna Hewlett and their 20 years of service and ministry at VRBC. The service will begin at 9:30 am and will feature special stories, great worship, and an inspiring message by guest speaker DJ Reed. Following the service, everyone is invited to gather in the lobby for a celebratory reception.
