5 Years With Ovie Tobor's Technical Elegance

Ovie works from the Toronto and Mississauga campuses, as the IT maestro for all four of IHN's physical locations across Canada and IHN Online, worldwide. He has been in his role as Information Technology Systems Administrator, Software Management & Communications since June 2016. The studied range of technical knowledge brought to IHN after completing his university degree at York, grew exponentially, as he immersed himself in the complexities of IT for a private career college. Ovie not only makes it easier, but makes it possible, for administration and faculty to do their jobs. At the best of times, students learn seamlessly, can access all of what they need, while Ovie remains the pulse. But when some of us experience meltdowns with our hardware, software or our SonisWeb academic portals, Ovie's calm demeanor and considered approach to end our paniclike a superherois only a bat-signal away.

He has been the technical orchestrator of our bi-yearly Orientations and Convocations—in the physical space and now virtually through the ubiquitous but wonderful platform of Zoom! Ovie is a leader in his department, with strong computer proficiency, analytical thinking skills, and excellent problem-solving strategies. We simply couldn't, and wouldn't, want to do without him and his smile!

Two Reasons to LearnBoth Equally Influence Change

Students choose to study at IHN for a variety of reasons. The common thread that unites them is their passion for holistic nutrition with a strong desire to bring change to the world. There are individuals who want to channel their life long enthusiasm for alternative health into their new profession. Others are already in the healthcare profession and diversify their modality portfolio to expand their clinical services. Still others, understand early on in their lives that holistic nutrition and traditional medicine is their calling and pursue the path wholeheartedly and with laser focus. An IHN education provides our graduates with skills that translate into an variety of professional opportunities.

IHN’s program also attracts individuals who struggle with personal health issues or witnessed friends and family suffer from acute and chronic maladies. Through their research, they were able to begin their journey towards optimal health. With the overwhelming amount of nutrition information that’s available, it can be difficult to discern falsehood from the truth, and managing one's health can be quite complex. The curriculum taught through industry experts at IHN teaches the foundational knowledge to acquire the expertise in becoming their own, trusted health advocates. Knowing how to navigate mainstream vs alternative, natural health information is paramount for true health and recovery. Personal study students have taken IHN's program over longer spans of time, one course at a time, over several years or immersed themselves full-time to apply the knowledge to their lives for immediate health outcomes.

Bringing Back Access To The Lecture & PowerPoint Deck for A Limited Time!

Word spread around our community about Lisa Pitel-Killah's lecture! There are big players in the industry for professional health practitioners with labs that do something called Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA). Lisa is a rising star. IHN vetted her professional status as well as her company's integrity and offerings before adding her to our Post Grad Lecture series to endorse her work. Her personal, athletic and academic credentials speak for themselves!

HTMA is advanced testing for cellular mineral levels and stored heavy metals, it serves as a blueprint for intelligent nutritional programming and detoxification protocols to erase debilitating symptoms, regain energy and live better. If you are not familiar with the process, Lisa gets a sample of your hair, runs it through her lab's HTMA test after which you get a full profile of your your body's nutritional deficiencies or excesses. After that? A custom mix supplement based on your unique cellular biochemistry is made.

You can learn more than what you probably want to know through her 3.5 hour recording, that you can watch anywhere, at any time. It's meant for practitioners and if you are one, you will love this. If you are not, you might know more than everyone you know about HTMA! You will also receive a digital copy of the complete PowerPoint presentation slide deck as well as have access to Lisa Pitel-Killah to ask any questions you have about the lecture material shared.

Lab-Grown Meat Approved For Sale

Cell-based cuisine. A restaurant in Singapore has a new cultured meat product on the menu, and it has some wondering how much healthier, clean, and environmentally friendly it really is. Cells from a chicken’s muscle, grown outside of the bird in a lab, are combined with plant-based ingredients to make nuggets called Chicken Bites. In a September 2020 Freethink article (4 minute read), “Cultured Meat Gets First Greenlight For Sale”, Kristin Houser explains, “While cultured meat is more humane than slaughtering animals, it's still not clear whether it has any environmental benefits over factory farming.”

A variety of winter squash, it has a hard outer shell with flesh that pulls away in strands resembling spaghetti when cooked. It offers plenty of vitamin C, an antioxidant that can strengthen the body’s natural defences by protecting cells from free radicals. An accumulation of free radicals can lead to oxidative stress, which has been linked to chronic disease. Consuming more vitamin C can help the body fight against inflammation. Spaghetti squash is a delicious gluten-free alternative to pasta or can be incorporated into recipes like this Spaghetti Squash Baby Cakes with Crispy Sage from IHN graduate Sarah Britton.
