Holiday Parade
Participate in our Holiday Parade! The parade will start at 6:00 pm, with lineup beginning at 5:30 pm. We will use the same route at the Fennimore High School's Homecoming parade. We are even expecting Santa and Mrs. Claus! Anyone is welcome and encouraged to participate in the parade! Please make sure your entry is lit and holiday-themed.
Lighting of the Unity Tree
Immediately following the parade (at approximately 6:30 pm), join the Friends of the Fennimore Library for the annual Lighting of the Unity Tree. Enjoy a special appearance by Santa and Mrs. Claus, hot chocolate, music and caroling, a reading of the Night Before Christmas by the fireplace, and more! Children can visit the library through November 22 to decorate an ornament that they can place on the Unity Tree during the lighting ceremony. Those decorating an ornament will receive a Scholastic book from the Friends of the Fennimore Library in appreciation of their efforts.

The Friends of the Fennimore Library also invite everyone to support the event by sponsoring a recognition for a local business, a civic organization, a loved one, a friend, or a neighbor. This may also be done for an anniversary, graduation, marriage, or other special event. The cost to participate is just $5.00 per recognition and all proceeds are given to the Friends of the Fennimore Library to help with expenses for various library-related projects. The deadline to purchase a recognition is November 19th. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the library at 608-822-6294.
Lights in the Park
Visit Oakwood Park for the lighting of our new Lights in the Park holiday light display, along with campfire s’mores. Businesses, organizations, families, and individuals can sponsor a display and decorate it however you choose! There are options to sponsor a tree real Christmas tree that will be provided from Cook’s Woods or an object that already exists at Oakwood Park, including either pavilion, playground, fence sections, and existing trees. We’ll light the park for the first time during our Holiday Fen-stival on and the light display will remain open to the public through Saturday, January 1, 2022.

Clubs and organizations are encouraged to host fundraisers at the pavilions during Lights in the Park. Learn more and sign up to sponsor a display. We will also be challenging our businesses and residents to a holiday light competition! We're working on finalizing these details, stay tuned for more information to come!
