Candidate Filing Starts TOMORROW!

We have a lot to be excited about with the news from last week! The vote in Virginia was a clear rebuke to the far left policies we've seen from the Biden Administration and Congressional Democrats. And it wasn't just Virginia's Governor and legislature. Elections in New Jersey and across the country proved that Americans won't stand for government interfering with parental control of education. Not to mention, everyone knows what their grocery and gas bills look like now. Inflation is out of control and the Democrats only answer is their same old trope of more government and more spending.

We can and will build on these victories to start to take back our country. But that means doing our part here in Texas. Tomorrow, November 13th, candidates will begin filing for office. We need candidates up and down the ballot in red and blue districts and counties. The left cannot be left unchallenged anywhere. In New Jersey a truck driver who only spent $153 on his race unseated the Democrat State Senate Majority Leader. We can do that here too but only if we have candidates. Local officials will file with the county parties. I encourage you to be engaged and to support your candidates vigorously! Then we will unite after the primary to Keep Texas Red and start taking back our country!

Election Night Talking Points

Topline:

Tuesday’s election results show voters have had enough of Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and Democrats’ far-left policies.
Major Republican wins in nearly every corner of the country show voters are ready for a change.
Republicans focused on issues that matter to families and voters in all communities: education, keeping our communities safe, rising prices, and bringing back jobs.
If Republican candidates run on these platforms, we can compete in even the deepest of blue states, districts, and cities.
Democrats in Virginia tried to run solely against President Trump and their strategy backfired.
Joe Biden’s approval rating continues to fall and he is a drag on Democrat candidates.
In deep blue states and swing districts across the country, candidates who tied themselves to Biden and his agenda were defeated at the polls.
The RNC has made significant investments to grow our Party with minority communities. As part of our investment in all communities, we have opened 10 RNC Community Centers within the past year.
Republicans are in a strong position for a red wave in 2022, including taking back the House of Representatives and Senate majorities.
The RNC’s data-driven ground game will help candidates across the country win. To date, our team has already made 12 million volunteer voter contacts ahead of the midterms.
In the words of Kamala Harris, “What happens in Virginia will in large part determine what happens in 2022, 2024, and on.”

Virginia:

Glenn Youngkin, Winsome Sears, and Jason Miyares made waves in a state where a Republican has not won statewide since 2009.
Youngkin received more votes than any Virginia governor in history.
The Republican won Hispanics by 55-44% margin and received 13% of the Black vote.
Veteran and immigrant Winsome Sears is the first woman and first Black woman Lieutenant Governor in Virginia’s history.
Cuban-American Jason Miyares is Virginia’s first Latino Attorney General.
Republicans flipped 7 seats to gain control of the House of Delegates – 52 seats to 48 seats.
This was the first election in which Republicans netted House seats in Virginia since 2013.
Virginia House Democrats had netted a total of 22 seats over the last three election cycles.
It’s important to remember Virginia is a blue state and this sweep is historic.
Biden won the Commonwealth by 10 points last year.
Glenn Youngkin and the GOP ticket outperformed the 2020 Republican ticket in the key Washington, D.C. suburb of Loudoun County by 8 points.
In line with recent polling from the NRCC, NRSC, and Morning Consult, Republicans continue to make gains with suburban voters as they reject Bidens’ agenda.
The RNC was invested in the race with over 100 staffers on the ground, 13 Victory offices, and over 5 million voter contacts with our data-driven grassroots infrastructure.

New Jersey:

New Jersey’s gubernatorial race remains close in a state Joe Biden won by 16 points in 2020.
Jack Ciattarelli made significant gains in Bergen County, New Jersey, a county Biden won by nearly 16 points.
Truck driver Edward Durr defeated New Jersey State Senate President Steve Sweeney - “one of the most powerful Democrats in New Jersey.”
As we work to ensure every legal vote is counted, the RNC has deployed an additional 20 lawyers on the ground in New Jersey to help supervise the vote counting processes.
Leading up to the election, the RNC, working with the NJGOP, had lawyers covering every county in New Jersey to ensure legal transparency ahead of Election Day. This coverage will continue in the coming days.
The RNC is preparing to launch any necessary litigation to ensure the integrity of the election process.
Leading up to Election Day, the RNC recruited and trained volunteers to poll-watch and establish best practices to ensure that elections are free, fair, and transparent.

Pennsylvania:

Republicans have won all three statewide judicial races – Supreme Court, Superior Court, Commonwealth Court - that have been called in Pennsylvania.
There is one Commonwealth Court seat yet to be decided but the Republican candidate – Drew Crompton – is in the lead.
In bellwether county of Luzerne, Republicans swept all 5 county council seats, with 3 flips, resulting in an 11-member council with a 9-2 Republican majority.

Ohio:

The voters of Ohio-15 elected Mike Carey, a veteran of the Ohio National Guard, and rejected Nancy Pelosi’s socialist agenda in Congress.

Other Republican wins this week:

In New York, Republicans had their best election night since 2016, including winning several key district attorney elections.
Anne Donnelly became the first Republican District Attorney elected in Nassau County in two decades, and Republican Ray Tierney soundly defeated the incumbent Democrat in Suffolk County.
Republican Danielle Fogel won the newly created 5th District State Supreme Court seat.
Voters rejected the socialist defund the police mayoral candidate India Walton in Buffalo, who was trounced by a write-in campaign.
Minneapolis voters rejected a Democrat-led ballot measure that would have reimagined the police department.
Texas Republican John Lujan flipped HD-118, a district Biden won by 14 points and is 73% Hispanic.
Last month, Representative-elect Lujan headlined the RNC’s community center grand opening in San Antonio.
Republicans flipped the Rochester, New Hampshire mayoral seat. Paul Callaghan, a law enforcement official is the first Republican mayor in the city since 2005.
In deep-blue Seattle, Republican Ann Davison is the first Republican

Bidenflation Rages On

Historically high inflation under Joe Biden is crushing American families, workers, and small businesses. Sadly, October’s producer and consumer price index releases offered no relief. Joe Biden’s policies are causing economic turmoil across the country.

What you need to know:

Consumer prices rose by 6.2% in October compared to last year, the largest annual increase in 30 years.
Producer prices have risen 8.6% since last October, the seventh month in a row it increased at the highest pace on record.
Biden loves to claim his inflation is “transitory,” but higher prices are here to stay – economists project that high inflation will last well into 2022, with consumer price spikes well above the average over the past decade.
Despite the threat of more inflation, Democrats want to ram through a bloated, multitrillion-dollar spending bill that includes massive tax cuts for wealthy blue state residents – and they’re pushing mandates that would crush small businesses and the labor market.

The bottom line:

Inflation is taking a devastating toll on the American people, especially those who live on tight budgets. Biden doesn’t seem to care, as he continues to push policies that will further weaken the economy. The American people deserve better.

Polling Shows: The American People Have Given Up On Joe Biden

After suffering through 9 months of failed policies and a far-left agenda, the American people are overwhelmingly rejecting Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.

What you need to know:

According to the latest USA Today/Suffolk poll:
Just 38% of Americans approve of Joe Biden.
Even fewer, just 28%, approve of Kamala Harris.
46% say Biden has performed worse as president than they expected, including 16% of those who supported him in 2020.
64%, including 28% of Democrats, say Biden should not seek a second term.
If the 2022 midterm were held today, those surveyed would choose a Republican candidate over a Democrat candidate by 46%-38%, a whopping 8% margin.
And don’t just let the polls speak for themselves - last week’s elections prove Democrats are in deep trouble.
In Virginia, Republicans Glenn Youngkin, Winsome Sears, and Jason Miyares swept all three statewide offices in a state Joe Biden won by 10 points in 2020.
Republicans also flipped 7 seats to gain a majority in the House of Delegates.
Republicans also had success up and down the ballot in New Jersey, New York, Minneapolis, Seattle, and Texas.
It’s not hard to see why the American people are rejecting the Biden-Harris administration. Their decisions and policies have led to:
Rising prices on the goods all Americans need, including groceries and gas.
A historic supply chain crisis which has left shelves bare.
A humanitarian and national security crisis on our southern border.
Crisis in the jobs market - even as many businesses are struggling to find workers, Biden is trying to force an unconstitutional vaccine mandate on 100 million Americans that will only make matters worse.
A chaotic exit in Afghanistan, with hundreds of Americans left behind.

The bottom line:

Democrat politicians across the country, even those in blue states and swing districts, should think twice before supporting Biden’s feckless agenda - it’s clear he has lost the support of the American people.
