A blessing from the global pandemic - the growth of CPI's National-led healthcare ministry. By God's grace, our ministry trained our National Directors and equipped them with the necessary medical supplies and equipment before the pandemic. When U.S. medical teams could not travel overseas, our National Directors were able to take advantage of windows of opportunities to host their own medical clinics within their own countries, staffed by local church congregations and national healthcare providers. Below are two stories of two national-led clinics that have taken place in the past month:
THAILAND
A CPI U.S. & Canadian mission team left Thailand on November 7th, and just a month later, our Thai church partners were conducting another eyeglass clinic! Led by our National Directors' church congregation, a Thai-led team served at a Lisu tribe village in Doi Chang, Thailand. This was the first time the church was able to conduct a clinic in the village, which allowed the church to share a clear presentation of the Gospel message with each patient. We praise God with our Thai church partner that 57 souls received Christ!
GUATEMALA
CPI Guatemalan National Directors Helmuth & Olga Marroquin have built a large network of Christian healthcare providers who desire to serve those in need within their own country of Guatemala. Sometimes this means traveling to distant or dangerous locations where U.S. teams may be unable to safely serve. A healthcare clinic was conducted the last weekend in November in such a place - a church within a crime-ridden zone in Guatemala City. Tiktok videos helped share the clinic with the local population, and many patients came to be treated. And by God's grace, 34 individuals made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ - to God be the glory!
