"A Day in the Life of a Disciple"
Sunday Sermon

In this extraordinary story of Jesus walking on the water, we see a picture of an ordinary day in the life of a disciple. How, you say? Join us for worship this Sunday and find out!

Matthew 14:13-21 | Church Online Here
From Pastor Tim

I rejoice with you, my beloved Saint Matthew family, on the completion of the call process in spite of all of the technical and logistical challenges of the present moment. I am confident that the Spirit has been at work in the process and that you have found the person, in Pastor Rustin Comer, who can lead you into God's exciting future for Saint Matthew.

I will conclude my ministry as your Interim Pastor on Sunday, August 23, which is also the 33rd anniversary of my ordination as a pastor. I know that saying goodbye is never easy and that the kind of goodbye we would all love to have -- with a shared meal and lots of hugs -- is not possible right now, but I would still love to see you before I go!

You will see plans below for a combination of Zoom and drive-by opportunities to say farewell. I am also available for one on one conversations via phone, Zoom, or Facetime, if that would be better for you.

As I have said many times, it has been an incredible privilege to walk alongside you through this season of transition. I will carry you with me in my heart wherever I go and I will always be among the cloud of witnesses cheering for you to run the race before you with confidence because of our shared faith in Christ Jesus.

May God bless and keep you always!
Praise for New Life

Congratulations to proud grandparents Gail and Michael Penny on the birth of their granddaughter, Elizabeth Gail Gibbs, born on July 20th to parents Rebecca and Jimmy Gibbs.
Farewell Pastor Tim and Mimi!

We are going to offer three community opportunities for folks to say good-bye to Pastor Tim and Mimi. We will have two virtual good-bye opportunities if you'd like to say good-bye via Zoom or if you prefer, you are welcome for a quick drive-through parade to say farewell on campus.

On Zoom:
Sunday, August 16, 10am-12pm
Wednesday, August 19, 6:30-7:30pm
Sign up here if you would like to say good-bye via Zoom on 8/16 or 8/19.

Drive-through Parade:
Saturday, August 22, 9-11am
We ask for you to sign up here for a 10 minute parade time slot to limit the number of cars gathering at any one time on campus. When you arrive, please enter through the North Parking Lot Driveway and exit through the South Driveway. There will be a basket and table available at a safe distance near Pastor Tim and Mimi if you would like to leave a card as you say farewell.
