Important STEM Survey
NAN is collecting information that will be used to create a statewide map of available programs that will be accessible to the public though the NAN website.
  • Each week between now and June 30th, programs can be entered to win a free STEM kit!
  • Every program that completes the survey by June 30th can be entered to win a $100 gift card, courtesy of STEM Next!
The Clark County School District is accepting proposals for learning acceleration and wraparound service providers to work with the District leadership to improve learning loss, social emotional challenges, and the mental health of K-12 students within the District. Afterschool and OST Programs are eligible to apply.

Deadline for Submissions is May 6th 2022 by 1:00 PM
 Coolest Projects online is a celebration of creativity and innovation where young people can showcase what they’ve made with technology. This is a FREE and virtual event for youth under 18 to share their coding creations with a global audience. 

Coolest Projects is an initiative run by the Raspberry Pi Foundation, and we welcome projects of all levels and stages. The project doesn't have to be finished! Project registration closes on May 11, 2022, and we are hosting an online showcase and live-streamed ceremony, meaning young creators can join from anywhere in the world! Check out last year's showcase for inspiration!
Calling All Afterschool Artists
Seeking for student designs for the Lights On Afterschool 2022 poster! The winning design will be printed on 50,000 posters and displayed at 8,000 events nationwide-and this year, the program that submits the winning design will win $500. Deadline May 16, 2022

This position will involve working in collaboration with other professionals in the community such as the Head Librarian at the Mesquite Library, Principals from the Moapa Valley and Virgin River schools, local organizations, and community leaders.

Million Girls Moonshot
The Million Girls Moonshot Toolkit is a collection of resources and tools for all 50 Mott Afterschool States Networks, their partners and programs, to utilize for the Million Girls Moonshot Initiative. All transformative practice resources have been vetted using a culturally responsive and equity lens to foster inclusive STEM learning spaces for all youth, particularly girls. 
Zero Barriers in STEM Education: Accessibility and Inclusion Program
A STEM initiative focused on increasing the prevalence of accessible and inclusive practices in STEM education and school culture for students with disabilities. The program convenes teams of educators representing schools, districts, and state education agencies across the US together for an education summit, to develop logic models that focus on a problem of practice related to accessible and inclusive STEM programs and school culture within their context for students with disabilities. The program also provides mid-year professional development to educators selected for the program.

We invite you to use this new Self-Assessment toolkit and reach back to us for Questions, comments, & suggestions.
Helpkidsrecover.org, a resource site to help inform education leaders about tapping American Rescue Plan (ARP) funds for afterschool and summer, includes the latest examples of ways state and local education agencies are using ARP funds for afterschool and summer programming.
