God wants us to lift up those around us, whether it’s encouraging other women in our church family or helping out when needed. We all succeed when we support one another.

God bless, Dr. Marlyce Holbach, WELCA President
Monthly Update

On behalf of the Campus Renovation Task Force (CRTF), this is the first of monthly updates we will be sharing with our church family.

Our task force has adopted the following mission:
To ensure that Emmanuel’s facilities encourage making Christ known by creating a campus that is welcoming, functional and meets the needs of our congregation and community.

We are resuming interaction with Beebe Design Studio regarding the Narthex Renovation Project. However, due to high construction costs, material and contractor availability, this project will be monitored until a more manageable environment exists.

In the meantime, our efforts, in partnership with the Property Committee, will be directed at the entire campus, including the Sanctuary, Fellowship Hall, Rowe Hall and the Church Office. To this end, we have identified several capital improvements. Many of these are fully or partially funded and will improve the appearance, functionality and safety of our campus as well as preserve our property assets.

As these projects are approved by the Church Council, we will share details in future monthly communications.

Campus Renovation Task Force.

Barb's Medical Minute...Who Knew?
You can get Salmonella from songbirds...you know, those pretty cardinals, finches, and wrens. So, the CDC advises no handling of wild birds (highly unlikely that you do that anyway,) but also to wash your hands after filling, cleaning, or touching outdoor bird feeders or bird baths. Also, a note for grandparents or parents with young children, be careful of playground equipment—especially monkey bars. They are good bird perches and usually have a plentiful supply of bird droppings on them.

The rule of wash your hands as soon as you come inside is a good one to have and then you can still enjoy our feathered friends and without worry!
A Few Openings left for 2021!!
