The Shueyville Church: Digital Dove
October 28, 2020
All Saints' Sunday
This Sunday we will share a moment to remember those who have died in the last year. If you have had someone close to you die and you have been worshiping with us, please send their name to the church by Friday. We will read the names during in-person worship and in the online service.

We will have a moment to remember all who have died, but please keep the names for the list to those who have died since last November. Thank you.

Mobile Home Work on Thursday
We are ready to start getting skirting on mobile homes in our area. After the derecho, many of these homes were left without protection from the cold and snow. We need your help and that begins with some people learning how to lead a crew.

If you would like to learn how to skirt a mobile home, please come to Squaw Creek Mobile Home Park Thursday at 3:00 p.m.
(6201 Hennessey Pkwy Marion, IA 52302)

If you'd like to help with wellness checks, there is training and assessing happening in Marion Village at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
(700 35th St Marion, IA 52302)

If you plan to attend either of these service opportunities, please let Pastor Brody know.

Both of these are great opportunities to serve and learn how to bring these skills into mobile home parks closer to our church. Right now, what matters is helping people who need it, regardless of where they are located. If you can acquire these skills, you can teach and apply them anywhere.

Charge Conference 2020
A Charge Conference is something that every United Methodist church has on an annual basis. It is where we do the official business of the church, including voting on committees and our goals for the coming year. It is also a time when we celebrate the things that have happened and lean into the places God is leading us.

This year is a great year to get a taste of our Charge Conference, as it will be held virtually. It will take place on Sunday, November 1 at 4:00 p.m. A Zoom link will be included as the date nears. If you have questions, please let me know.
