2022 Corrections Officer of the Year
May 1-7, 2022 is National Corrections Officer Week, and Calhoun County Sheriff Steve Hinkley is proud to announce the 2022 Corrections Officer of the Year.
The 2022 Corrections Officer of the Year is Aaron Grodavent

Deputy Aaron Grodavent joined the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office on March 17, 2017 and was assigned to the Correction Division. Aaron quickly gained a reputation in the division for being energetic, courteous, and extremely helpful to others. He is highly respected by his peers and appreciated by his supervisors because of his work ethic and how well he works with others.

Deputy Grodavent consistently displays exceptional competence, sound judgment and depth of professional knowledge in carrying out his responsibilities. Aaron often is involved in the training of new officers and is utilized in special assignments such as court security officer.

Deputy Grodavent has proven himself highly capable in each assignment and maintains a positive and professional attitude during the most difficult and stressful situations. He has a high sense of security awareness that he can assist and train other deputies that lack this awareness.

Deputy Grodavent’s compassion, integrity and character he demonstrates both on and off the job, exemplifies the characteristics of a true correctional professional. He is a positive role model for his fellow employees and displays a sense of pride, commitment and dedication to his family, community and chosen profession as a corrections officer.

Deputy Grodavent has become a true asset to the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office and the citizens he has sworn to protect. The agency is proud to have employees of his caliber. 

It is for these reasons and more that Deputy Aaron Grodavent has been selected to be the recipient of this year’s Corrections Officer of the Year Award.
