This Week in Choir (TWIC) emails are sent out on Sundays. The TWIC highlights important choir information & events for students & families.
Choir News
*AP Testers - please be aware that you must be in class for choreography unless you are actually taking a test. If you have a morning test, you are expected to come to Madrigals on even days and Concert Choir on odd days as soon as you are finished.

Spring Show Rehearsal Schedule
Monday, May 16 - Dress rehearsal after school in costume, 3:00 - 6:00 pm
Tuesday, May 17 - Dress rehearsal after school in costume, 3:00 - 6:00 pm
Wednesday, May 18 - Dress rehearsal after school in costume, 3:00 - 6:00 pm
Thursday, May 19 - Spring Show at 7:00 pm, Call time no later than 6:00 pm
Friday, May 20 - Spring Show at 7:00 pm, Call time no later than 6:00 pm
Parents and Students,
Please make note of the rehearsal and show times listed above. All students are expected to be in attendance for the entire rehearsal and show times as part of their grade. Please avoid scheduling appointments during this critical time. Students who are absent during the coming weeks are likely to forfeit solo opportunities as well as their placement on stage. Thanks in advance for your cooperation.
*In class for the next few weeks we will be working on choreography for the spring show. Students are reminded to wear acceptable clothing that is within the school dress code. In addition, students must wear shoes that are secure on the foot. Do not wear flip-flops, bulky slippers, or loose shoes that could fly off during choreography. Girls may wear ballet flats. Chamber and Madrigals need character shoes.
Solo Auditions must be completed this week!
Options include before or after school, or during D Lunch.

Additional Costume Requirements for the Spring Show:
Below are descriptions and links to choices for purchase. Please read through the entire list as your choir may appear more than once. When making your purchase(s), please make sure that you will have your final items in hand before the dress rehearsal.
For ALL Ladies:
Black pants you can tuck your shirt into - no leggings, jeans or yoga pants
For Concert, Chamber and Madrigal Ladies:
Long sleeve black leotard
For Chamber and Madrigal Ladies:
Black Character Shoes, 1.5” heel, no T-strap
For Madrigal Ladies:
Long sleeve white blouse, will be tucked into skirt.
Lettering
Any student who already turned in a letter point tally sheet for this year must meet with Doc by Friday, May 20, to go over your points for the year. Please bring all extra material including programs or ticket stubs from concerts attended as well as letters from voice and piano teachers, etc. Remember, you must have attended at least 3 different types of concerts in order to letter. You may set up a time before school, after school, during D lunch, or during 7th or 8th period.
Student Sign-Up for Car Wash
The Car wash is this Saturday, May 7, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm at the Sunoco, 8121 Old Dominion Dr, McLean (corner of Old Dom. & Spring Hill). Click here to sign up for the required 2 hour block. Please wear your choir polo!

Chick Fil A Chicken Sandwiches - Tuesday, May 3
All choir students - come pick up your FREE Chick Fil A chicken sandwiches outside the choir room during lunch. This is our token of appreciation for a job well done during Choral Assessment!
Spring Car Wash - THIS Saturday, May 7, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm, at Sunoco on Spring Hill/Old Dominion

Spring Show - Another Op’nin, Another Show! May 19 and 20, 7:00 pm, in the Langley Auditorium
Mark your calendars for the final choral production of this school year! Featuring live vocal and dance performance, the Langley Chorus will honor the music from Broadway.
