SCHOOL-WIDE STEWARDSHIP PROJECT
|
We will be collecting new and gently used books at morning drop-off October 5-16, 2020. Collected books will be donated to Books Between Kids.
|
|
This school year, we’re excited to partner with Waldo Photos, a photo delivery service where you can get all the photos of your student delivered straight to your phone! The moments you care about the most, captured by others, delivered to you. Waldo will bring another level of innovation to St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School.
This optional service uses facial recognition and jersey recognition to find photos of your student, and then sends them to your phone via the Waldo app with notifications when new photos are found. Only one parent enrolls per student. You can then invite 6 other family members to also receive your student’s photos on their phone! *We know that masks may make the facial recognition difficult for us this school year but are excited to be able to have a web gallery to feature our school photos.
How to enroll: Text STAOPCS21 to 735-343 and follow the prompts.
Cost per student: $19.99 for 2020-2021 school year

LIBRARY UPDATES FROM MRS. MORGAN
We all realize the importance of reading and are happy to announce some changes which will help enhance our literacy program. Effective immediately, middle school will be able to complete an e-form requesting a library book. The book will be retrieved by library staff and delivered to the student. When the book is returned, it will go into book quarantine before being shelved. Starting the 2nd quarter, we will be adding 4th and 5th graders to the schedule.
For 1st - 5th grades, we will start a 'Reading is Fun Club' for each quarter, starting 2nd Quarter! During library time Mrs. Morgan will give each student a log and page with books to color. Each time the student finishes reading a book, he or she will write down the name of the book, have a parent sign the log, and will color a book on the handout. The logs can be turned in during library time. Fun prizes will be awarded throughout the quarter. Let's see how many books we can read!

St. John Paul II often said that the Rosary is a prayer of peace, and he encouraged families to pray the Rosary together.
