A Good Time Was Had By All
NMACO sponsored a "movie night" at the historical Mancos Opera House to show the pilot TV episode of "Badwater," which involved participation by many locals. Chuck Greaves, screenwriter, and Felix Alcala, director, collaborated to write, film, direct and produce the film set in Mancos and Cortez and involving a fictional story involving corrupt town administrators, a murdered Native American girl and, of course, water issues. A short documentary to showcase the NMACO project to rescue Mesa Verde wild horses and humane management was also shown to a sold-out crowd of 250! Everyone enjoyed the evening with popcorn, wine, beer, and cider.
