MINISTER'S MESSAGE
Beloveds,

Our theme is Reaching Higher this month. I need to reach deeper in order to reach higher. We have to reach deep for faith to follow the guidance of Spirit. We have to reach deeper and higher to get the ongoing guidance that will support us on our journey.

When I went to Pennsylvania in May, I thought I was going for a very specific reason. Spirit had other plans. I needed time to reach deep enough to listen to what my heart was telling me and then reach high enough to get to Spirit’s vision for my life. While those who know me best could clearly hear the hunger for newness in me, I needed time to come to terms with such a wild idea. Those heights can be dizzying as well as exhilarating.

Everything we are and have been builds us to where we can reach for the heights of what we can be. I never thought that the property management job I manifested in a prosperity class would have such far reaching benefits. I didn’t know when I started volunteering as the Regional Support Coordinator for Home Office that it would lead to a redefining of what ministry looks like for me. I encourage you to allow Spirit to use all of you – all that you are and have been – to lift you up to the heights of Spirit’s vision for your life.

As I move on in my journey of ministry, as I move back to the other side of the country, know that I still see the heights each of you can access. Know that the Center for Spiritual Living is still in Spirit’s hands. Know that I love you.

Board Report
Welcome to fall!

As most of you know, CSLP is in transition with Rev. Kathleen’s resignation. Please know that your Board and the Practitioners are working together to ensure clear direction and good communication as we move forward. We want our congregants to feel a sense of comfort and continuity in these times. We welcome your questions and concerns; please know you can come to us for such answers as we can provide. This community is strong and our faith in each other and in Spirit’s presence will guide us forward.

Blessings,

Kyra Molitor (Board President)
New Committee Being Formed!
The Board of Trustees is looking ahead in creating a committee to engage both the Quad Cities and online communities in open dialogue, by moving forward in sharing our Centers mission and vision as a path to increase membership and awareness to a broader audience. By expanding the Centers Love and Joy outside of our walls we are including others as we grow. Anyone interested in this exciting endeavor please reach out to a Board Member.
SPIRITUAL MIND TREATMENT
Rise Up
Karen Raderl, RScP

We honor, bless, and celebrate Rev. Kathleen as new life adventures are calling her onward. We, the CSLP Community, have walked together through changes, joyful sharing, creating, learning and growing. We now have the opportunity to connect in love and support and bid a fond farewell to Rev. Kathleen.

Expressions of appreciation for Rev. Kathleen already shared:

“*“I admire her ability to talk through emotions and her vulnerability.”

”*“Kindness of helping with transport to hospital or appointments.”

”*“Helping me see the humor and joy of spiritual growth.”

”*“Spiritual Counseling with honest feedback to awaken my clarity.”

”*“She contributed to discovery and support of Jackson, our talented music leader.”

”*“Her teaching and visioning skills, and powerful prayer treatments.”

”*“I love how she thinks on her feet and uses humor to make a point.”

There is a book in the Center’s entry to sign, write a memory, a blessing and/or a gratitude. Thank you for joining the board and practitioners in this journey of Gratitude.

Now we plant seeds for our future. Let’s begin creating more good for this community. We have a skilled and committed board; enthusiastic, creative youth leaders; spiritually conscious practitioners, and a glorious congregation! As we Rise Up, we can celebrate the Blessings and the New Beginnings.

The invitation is to Rise Up in our uniqueness to claim our Divine Potential as a Center and a blessing to the community and our world. I love a quote by Caroline Myss, “Everything serves, nothing hinders.” We are being nudged to expand and reach higher. And as Rev. Kathleen said in Sunday Talk, August 16, “Something beautiful is happening here, it is time for birthing.”

Love and Peace,,
Karen Rader RScP
Congratulations Sandy and Sharon!

It was a fabulous Graduation & Stoling Ceremony as we welcomed and congratulated our new Practitioners Sandy Kimmerle and Sharon Tice on Saturday July 17. The event was filled with joy and celebration starting with the Processional of the Board of Trustees, Ministers, Practitioners, and our Graduates. Sandy and Sharon were presented with their certificates by their spouses Tom Kimmerle and Bill Tice, and Rev. Kathleen McDowell and Rev. Lezli Goodwin draped the stoles (the visible sign of their office) on their necks. Practitioners Hazel Bowman, Diane Gesell, Jon Haass, Steve Higgins, Mel Hirsch (Emeritus), Karen Rader, Dave Sharer and Sue Sharer were recognized for their years of service (accumulatively representing more than 130 years) and Rev. Kathleen McDowell was honored with her 30-year pin as a minister.

Music filled the air with selections by our Director of Music Jackson Rauch and our surprise guest soloist Rev. Michael Gott (pre-recorded). Bob Joslin did a wonderful job in signing for the hearing impaired, and Clay Smith was our tech guru behind the scenes ensuring it all flowed smoothly. After the ceremony, the celebration continued with hospitality in Sibley Hall. Chaired by Rev. Kathleen and Hazel Bowman, RScP, our deepest thanks are extended to the many volunteers who gave their time and gifts in making it all possible: Barbara Butterfield, Diane Gesell, RscP, Pearl Goodman, Kathleen Gustafson, Jim Holmes, Bob Joslin, Sally Kasner, RScP, Lura Kingsford, Claire LaPlume, Grace McManus, RScP, Richard McManus, Gary Stuart, Patricia Weiberg, Albin Wisniewski, and a big shout-out to Janet Santiago in the office who helped with so many details! Together we all made it a day worth remembering as we exemplified the knowing-ness of One Love, One Heart, One Life.

Prayer and Meditation Groups
Rev. Kathleen is offering a chance to develop a spiritual practice called Visioning. This is a form of deep listening in which one catches a higher vision for his or her life. As a shared practice, it leads to deep change, both in one’s world view and one’s activity. This practice is inspired by the Life Visioning Process introduced by Rev. Dr. Michael Bernard Beckwith (book available on Amazon). Each group will be limited to 12 people and will begin online. Eventually, each group will be self-led and other groups may start in a time and place that works for the members.
Saturday option: from 9 am to 10:30 am, the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month.
Monday option: from 5:30 pm to 7 pm, the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month.
Please note: you will be allowed into the room by the moderator at the beginning of the meeting ONLY if you have reserved your place with Rev. Kathleen. This keeps the meeting from being zoom bombed and creates a safe environment.
If you are interested in joining others online for a daily spiritual practice,
please check out www.tucsoncsl.org and www.newvisioncsl.org for
their morning prayer groups.

VISITATION MINISTRY
During the month of July, 2021, six (6) team members reported visiting (actual or telephone calls) 17 separate individuals. 46 visits were reported. One team reported driving me to my doctor's appointments, In Phoenix on two occasions. The team members reported participating in five (5) Virtual Prayer Circles for individuals undergoing medical procedures.

Would you like a visit, telephone visit, telephone call, Prayer Circle or Virtual Prayer Circle by the Visitation Team for yourself or another? A Virtual Prayer Circle is performed when it is impractical to be at the hospital. A Virtual Prayer Circle is where each member goes into prayer at a designated time, wherever they are, for an individual undergoing a medical procedure. If this is for you, please contact the Pastoral Care Coordinator, David Sharer RScP at (928) 771 2791. The team loves to serve by making visits and praying with you.

ERNEST HOLMES QUOTES

“Evolution is the emergence of that which is already in form, in an ever-upward spiraling.”

“ We have within us a power that is greater than anything that we shall ever contact in the outer, a power that can overcome every obstacle in your life and set us safe, satisfied and at peace, healed and prosperous, in a new light and in a new life.”

“Circle of Life: The circle is a symbol, representing the Infinite, the First Great Cause before It moves into manifest form. The Circle of Life represents, in its downward arc, the coming of Spirit into matter, and in its upward sweep, man’s journey from gross materiality into pure Spirit, his perfected state.”

Please remember CSL Prescott in your financial giving. While the Center was closed, the fixed costs of running the Center did not change. You can make a contribution HERE.
