Stay home order to be extended until May 1
Like most of you, I'm working from home (most of the time) and dealing with the stress we all feel during this challenging time.

Each of us deals with stress differently.  I handle it by walking on a nearby shoreline trail, eating healthy and occasionally watching some old TV reruns.

My Board of Supervisors colleagues and I are working tirelessly with so many other dedicated public servants who are part of the County's response to COVID-19 -- professionals in Health Services, Social Services,  Fire District, Law Enforcement, Public Works and more.

Our top priorities are to "flatten the curve" by slowing the spread of the virus and to prepare for an expected surge of people needing medical care.

On Tuesday, the Bay Area Health Officers' Shelter at Home Order will be extended through May 1.
Meeting with Federal Officials to explore using the Craneway to provide medical care.

While we're doing a great job staying home except for essential business, Health Officers believe we need to stay with it and do even more if we are going to be successful at keeping our hospitals from becoming overwhelmed.

Take a look at my short video message above for some additional information.

Remember, we're all in this together!
Sincerely,
