PUBLISHER'S NOTE

Greetings!

In May we wrote an extensive expose why the French was still adamant about maintaining border controls after May 17 at the time when the Dutch side had lifted its border restrictions.

It turned out that the French border controls brought cross-border fraud to light.

This time the newly imposed French border crossing restrictions are aimed at limiting the Dutch side residents from making 'free' use of the LCF Hospital medical services.

However, strangely enough, if you are healthy enough to hike or bike across the border, you are allowed to do so freely, as our lead article today points out.

In the meantime, while you are reading that article and others, I will be celebrating my daughter's 9th birthday today.

Have a safe week and remember to practice social distancing.

Kind regards,

Terrance Rey
