DRIVE-THRU COVID-19 TESTING
The Town is offering free drive-thru COVID-19 testing to all Swampscott residents at the First Congregational Church on Monument Ave. on Mondays & Wednesdays from 2:30-6:30pm and Saturdays from 8:00am-12:00pm.
REPORT NEIGHBORHOOD ISSUES ON SEE-CLICK FIX
Is there a broken streetlight in your neighborhood? Pothole on the street? Litter or trash in the park? Alert us to neighborhood maintenance issues that need to be addressed and we will work to resolve them as quickly as possible.
Fall is in full force and this means it's time to bring out the rake. The Health Department wants to remind you watch your back as you tend to your lawn:

  • Stretch: Make sure your muscles are ready for a workout
  • Stand up straight: Pull from your arms and legs
  • Relax: Rake for intervals of 10 – 15 minutes at a time, taking breaks in between

If using a leaf blower, dress in clothing that covers your skin and wear appropriate eye protection and work shoes as well, to prevent injury.
The Swampscott Public Library together with S.U.R.E (Swampscott Unites Respects & Embraces Diversity) is proud to bring you One Topic One Town: A Journey Towards Dismantling Racism. A town wide “book club” with 5 titles on Racism for all ages, complemented by programs, discussions, events and more throughout the year. Starting next week, The Senior Center will be offering much needed Social Reservations. Now that the weather has turned and seniors can no longer socialize outside, the center will accept reservations for between 2 and 8 people on Thursdays and Fridays between 10-11am. To book a reservation call the center at 781-596-8866.

TURKEY TREASURE HUNT
Sunday, November 15 - 12:00pm
Join the race around Swampscott using town and historic clues to find Tom Turkey. Take a trip by car around Swampscott in our own Amazing Race! Bring a small bag of items for the Anchor Food Pantry to participate! [PRE-REGISTER HERE]
COMPLETED PROJECTS
The basketball court at Phillips Park has been resurfaced (with a few puddles after the snow.)
UPCOMING PROJECTS
Here are some DPW projects underway or coming down the road:

  • They will be installing 160 feet of concrete sidewalk at Fisherman's Beach
  • As part of that project 4 new trees will be planted on the new sidewalk
  • Construction at the seawall at King's Beach is currently underway
  • Over the next two weeks, DPW will be removing 250 privately owned irrigation pit meters.
Swampscott's Boards and Committees are seeking new members to help lead innovative projects and programs in Swampscott.

Fill out a volunteer form to express interest in any one of dozens of committees and tell us how you want to help!
SWAMPSCOTT CULTURAL COUNCIL

The Swampscott Cultural Council invites artists and organizations to submit grants to fund community cultural programs in Swampscott. The deadline to apply is November 16. For more information click HERE
DID YOU KNOW?

You can place your blue overflow bags INSIDE a non-Town issued cart on trash day. This will protect it from the elements and wildlife. For more information about Swampscott's Waste Reduction Program, click HERE.
