Marinette County CASA Program Transition

β€Š

A photo from a recent gathering of representatives, partners and supporters of both the Marinette County CASA Program and CASA of Menominee County.

CASA of Brown County began operating the Marinette County CASA Program in the fall of 2016 after a group of dedicated individuals came together to establish the foundation for the program and began to recruit and train community members to advocate for children under court protection.

It was inspiring how the community quickly embraced the concept of CASA child advocacy and welcomed our partnership!

Since then, 60 caring and devoted CASA volunteers advocated for 103 children, making a lasting impact! Over the years, our Youth Director Taylor Connell worked closely with each CASA volunteer and their children and youth appointed by Judge Morrison and Judge Sequin. Thank you, Taylor, for your steady leadership and exemplary service!

In the spring of 2022, the CASA of Brown County Board of Directors approved transitioning the program to a different operating organization with guidance from the National CASA/GAL Association for Children. We are pleased to report that CASA of Menominee County, Michigan is expanding to provide CASA child advocacy services in Marinette County, Wisconsin.

As 2022 came to a close and we reflected on our time in Marinette County, we are incredibly grateful to have collaborated with so many partners who care deeply about children, are proud of all that we accomplished together and confident that the CASA program will continue to be successful and make a difference for years to come.
