Message from the Principal
Dear DHS staff, students, and families,

This week began with the powerful Genocide Commemoration Day event. As I shared last week, Genocide Commemoration Day was initially started by a student, Andrew Devedjian, in an effort to recognize the Armenian Genocide (Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day is April 24). This day grew to encompass all remembrance days (International Holocaust Remembrance Day, January 27; Bengali Genocide Remembrance Day, March 25; Yom HaShoah, April or May; Cambodian Genocide Remembrance Day, May 20; International Day of Reflection on the 1994 Rwanda Genocide, April 7; Tamil Genocide Remembrance Day, May 18; Kwibuka, April 7; Pontian Greek Genocide Remembrance Day, May 19; United Nations International Day of Commemoration and Dignity of the Victims of the Crime of Genocide and of the Prevention of this Crime, December 9; Holodomor Memorial Day, 4th Saturday of November). We are incredibly grateful to our speakers who bravely shared their stories, the GCD student committee and staff sponsors, the Social Studies Department, and everyone who participated in one way or another to make this event so meaningful and impactful!

Sincerely,
Principal Kathryn Anderson

Juniors - Class of 2023; Planning for Senior Photos
Juniors, you and/or your parent/guardian should have received an email from Stuart Rodgers about your Senior Photos. Please look for that email. It is normally sent to the primary email on file in Infinite Campus. If you did not receive this email, please follow the directions below.

  1. Go to the Stuart Rodgers website: www.sphoto.com and click on schedule me. Then, select Name (Last Name) and ID login (Student ID number).
  2. If that does not work, you can email info@srphoto.com giving the student's name and school. Stuart Rodgers will then email the password.
