ACS NEWS & ENROLLMENT INFORMATION

Bus driver job opening: ACS will be looking to hire a part-time bus driver for two days per week for next school year. If you know someone who would be interested in this position, please have them email Brian Koetje at bkoetje@allendalechristian.org, or call the office.


4th-6th Grade Robotics: In March, we are running a Robotics Club after school for six sessions, open to students in 4th-6th grade. The program will once again be led by ACS parent, Ross Scholma. Ross is planning for March 7,9,14,16,21, and 23, after school. In order to make sure the club can happen, we will need parent volunteers. No Robotics experience is necessary to help! If your child has interest in participating in Robotics Club, please fill out this FORM as soon as possible.

Greetings from the Spring Play Director! We have a large need to ask of the ACS community and those associated with you. This year our production has a need for a ramp that can lead off the stage into the gym at Unity Christian High school. Unity currently does not own one. This ramp will be used to bring large set items on and off the stage. It will also serve as an emergency exit for one of our cast members who is wheelchair bound should the only available ramp be blocked. Our set design team will not have the time needed to complete this project in addition to the sets needed. We are asking if there is anyone who has the capability to build a ramp for us, or if anyone has access to a portable ramp. If you, or someone you know, can help please contact me directly. You can do so by email Katierozeboom@gmail.com or by phone (616) 914-5501. We will not need the ramp until March 6 and will be done using it by March 11.

Heroism Projects: This winter, the 7th grade class studied the theme of heroism in their English-Language Arts class. After learning about various heroes from history, they applied their knowledge to our community, found local heroes, learned about what they do, and wrote about it to inspire heroism in others. You can view their finished essays here.

The ACS Book Fair is coming! On March 18-24, ACS will be having its annual book fair at school through i55 Book Fairs, a company who is dedicated to glorifying God and aligning with biblical values in the book selection they provide.

While students will have opportunities to shop during the week of the fair, the community is also invited to a book fair open house Saturday, March 18, from 1-4 pm. You can also shop the fair early at this website. Anything you order online will still count towards our profits, and it can be shipped free to school at the end of the fair.


Finally, Mrs. Koning needs your help to make the fair run smoothly! If you are available to help, please sign up using this link. There are a variety of time slots to choose from to fit your schedule.

Online bid boards will be available to browse in-person starting at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 25. Complimentary dinner, catered by Johnny B’s BBQ, is from 4:45 –6 p.m., and the LIVE Auction starts at 7:00 p.m. You won’t want to miss this!


Complimentary Child care is available for toilet-trained children. For staffing purposes, please let us know if you plan on utilizing it.

3-on-3 Basketball is back!! Allendale Christian School will be holding our 16th annual 3-on-3 basketball tournament on Saturday, March 18, at Allendale High School! Potluck Pickup has now become ARROWASTE!

Things are changing for how to pay trash/recycle bills:


1.) TRIP can no longer pay your bill for you.

  • You can pickup/order $25 - Arrowaste Certificates (8%). We will have a supply in stock, however, if we run out it will be 2 weeks to get in stock.
  • You can order exact amount VIP certificate (4%). These will take 2 weeks to order.

2.) All certificates will need to be mailed to Arrowaste with your bill
