feeling the summer heat yet?!
Check out these spots across the DMV to cool down with some delicious ice cream.
1.Thomas Sweet- Georgetown
Some of the best ice cream is located on the corner of Wisconsin Ave. and P St. N.W. Thomas sweets offers a wide variety of flavors and specializes in “mix in’s”.
They also serve locally made candy and treats including hand dipped chocolate’s, specialty sandwiches and espresso drinks!

2. Baked Bear-North Bethesda, MD
This place is for all my ice cream sandwhich lovers.
Two childhood friends followed thier passion and opened up the orginal Baked Bear across the states in San Diego. After expanding East they landed in the up and coming Pike & Rose in North Bethesda. Here at Baked Bear you stuff your sandwhich with yummy ice cream flavors and then is “pressed” in a magical machine that warms the top and bottom but keeps your ice cream cold in the center before they are rolled in your choice of toppings!

3. Nicecream Factory-Alexandria, VA
Nicecream was started in a small home kitchen by two college sweethearts. One Saturday morning they decided to take their recipe to the next level by freezing their ice cream with liquid nitrogen. Flavors rotate weekly so you will never be bored if like most people, become a frequent visitor.

4.Pitango Gelato-Reston, VA
Do you like Gelato or Sorbet? Pitango is your place! They create gelato and sorbet that embody flavors of authentic curated ingredients. Instead of trendy flavors, they celebrate the classics! You can taste these delicious treats in Reston, Penn Quarter, Fells Point, and Adams Morgan.
