From the Pastor

Thank you to the many who made our Holy Week and Easter services possible. Both our Praise Band and our Chancel Choir devoted much time and energy into preparation for our services. There was a large group of people helping prepare and host the reception in the fellowship hall between services. There were extra audio-visual and zoom needs. Extra Deacons and Elders and scripture readers and sanctuary decorators were needed. It was a huge undertaking (as this special church season always is) and your efforts are all greatly appreciated.

He is risen! He is risen indeed!

Peace in Christ,

Pastor Mitch

As a member of RRCC, I’d like to thank Pastor Mitch for the meaningful services during the Easter season! After the Maundy Thursday and Good Friday services one can truly feel the joy and excitement that we serve a risen Savior! The choir added so much to each service. Thank you, Randy and choir. Praise band always lifts us up. Thank you. Thank you to all who worked behind the scenes!

It was as I heard said, a "well orchestrated season."

Explorers Sunday School Class Announcement

Attention all! The Explorers Sunday School class is going back to RRCC! We will meet in our classroom on April 24. Thanks to the Property Committee for getting us ready to study the Bible in person. We would love to have others join us as we are now studying 1 Corinthians. Lots of discussion as we work to understand and apply our learning to our daily lives. As we know, the Bible is amazing in that so much seems it could have been written in 2022. Come talk with us.

Elders Prayer/Closing Message

One of the most powerful scriptures in the bible for everyone to reflect on today as we celebrate the greatest historical event in human history...the resurrection of Jesus Christ.. HE IS RISEN!!!!!!!! (Matthew 28:6). The reason the resurrection of Jesus is the greatest historical event is because we know that our faith would be meaningless if there had been no resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:17). Within three days Jesus’ followers went from heartbroken sadness to triumphant jubilation. The cross screamed, “The End,” making them feel hopeless and helpless. But the resurrection trumpeted, “The Beginning,” bringing confidence and courage. The cloud of doubt and despair that had shrouded them melted away and was replaced with unshakeable faith. “He isn’t here! HE IS RISEN FROM THE DEAD.” Luke 24:6. It’s because of these words that we as believers can now experience life. We have victory over death because Jesus took on the grave for us. He faced death for us and conquered it! Our sin held us captive. Our lives were headed nowhere, but He stepped in and saved us.

May this promise of Easter fill you with renewed faith, hope and joy-- May His peace and love bring celebration and joy to your heart. May you always feel His love shining brightly in your life. Have a wonderful day rejoicing in the Resurrection. I pray that the fullness of God's love and His blessings will be to you and your family this Easter and always. Happy Easter.

-Gary Toombs
