Over the last few weeks, The City of Lakeway has welcomed more wonderful pieces into its permanent art collection. "The Game," a cast bronze sculpture by artist Robert Holmes was generously donated by John and Judy Hogge and is now located at the Municipal Court (104 Cross Creek) under the shade of a beautiful oak tree near the front of the building. Stop by to admire these larger than life figures as they seem to concentrate on a close game of chess.
Three kinetic sculptures by Jim La Paso titled "Butterfly,""Wings" and "Daisy" were added to a small strip of land off of Lakeway Boulevard called Lakeway Park 1. These whimsical sculptures add a touch of color and interest to the area for all visitors and residents to enjoy.
The Lakeway Arts Committee continues to add beauty and put on special events throughout the city. To support this effort, please consider attending an
Arts Committee meeting held the last Monday of every month at City Hall (1102 Lohmans Crossing).
