2020-2021 Re-entry Plan
Fairview Park City School District
Dear Fairview Families,

After many months of research and collaboration with parents, teachers, support staff, administrators, community members, and our Reimagine School Task Force, we are sending out our 2020-2021 school year re-entry plan . Please know, this plan is not static or final. It will have to change as more information becomes available (which seems to happen almost daily). For example, you may have seen in the news last night that the Ohio Education Association, representing teachers state-wide (of which our local Fairview Park Education Association (FPEA) is a member) shared a statement that, “Counties designated by the state as Level 4 (purple) or Level 3 (red) must open only for remote learning.” This conflicts with our current plan. I requested clarity from our association co-presidents on FPEA’s position on this issue and was informed “we agree with OEA’s recommendation” and that the Board and I will receive a letter voicing their concerns shortly. We will have additional conversations once we’ve received that letter. More information on this and other items will certainly follow… Please stay tuned.

Meanwhile, please take time to review this important information. (There’s a lot… get comfortable!) Then, let us know how you would like to proceed should the plan continue as currently presented by taking this short survey . Your feedback will help us to continue key preparations for our upcoming school year.

Should we open in either “all in” or “hybrid” mode, and you would prefer to enroll your student in the Fairview Remote Learning Option, please complete this form by August 12.

Thank you for your patience, and as always, please don’t hesitate to ask any questions you may have once you have read through the plan.

Again, thank you for your patience, feedback, and support.
Above all else, take care - stay safe - be well!
