May Day Celebration Today
May is almost here! Today we celebrate May Day by starting with our normal Friday assembly, which will culminate in the 8th Grade Royal Court being selected for May Faire on Saturday.

Throughout the day, classes will make butter to enjoy with bread, create marvelous crowns, and fill May Day baskets to share with our community.

The dancing of the May Pole has necessarily been postponed and will be scheduled in the near future. We will communicate the new date to you as soon as we know.

We look forward to Saturday's May Faire, which will continue as planned, beginning at 10:00 am.
Our Forever Home - Today is the Day!
Today we finalize the purchase of our beloved Whittier building and grounds by signing on the dotted line! Please join us tomorrow to celebrate this incredible milestone at the May Faire!

May Day Flower Donations - Final Day
Flower donations are still needed for making flower crowns, May Day baskets, and decorating for May Faire. Please bring any flowers, bouquets, or rose petals to school by the end of the day today. Filler flowers for making the crowns, particularly baby’s breath or the like, are requested. Donations can be dropped off near the top of the stairs at the main entrance.

Thank you!

8th Grade Magnolia Class Play

On Wednesday and Thursday last week, the 8th grade Marigold class performed a wonderful rendition of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, by Shakesphere, rehearsing after school on both days eager to showcase their hard work. The Marigold students demonstrated true grit as they worked together good naturedly through any obstacle they encountered.

Many interpretations of this famous play have been performed throughout different schools, but this year's Mountain Song 8th grade gave a performance that will be remembered for years to come.

This culminating performance brings these students even closer to our hearts as they approach the transition from students to alumni of Mountain Song. We couldn’t be prouder of them.
Parent Engagement Survey
Mountain Song Community School cares deeply about our students. We are always looking for ways to improve their educational experience and form a stronger partnership with you, our parents. To help us accomplish this goal, we are conducting a parent survey to help us understand what we are doing well and where we need to improve.

We have hired School Perceptions, an independent educational research firm, to conduct the survey and ensure all responses are kept confidential. We ask that all parents respond to a survey that was sent out on April 20.

The survey will be open through May 4 at 5:00 PM. If you do not receive an email invitation to complete the survey, please check your “spam/junk” folder and then contact Sarah Kreger (skreger@mountainsongschool.org) for assistance.

We hope for 100% feedback from our families, so please fill out the surveys today! We value your comments and suggestions, and strongly encourage you to participate in this important survey. Together, we will continue to shape the future of our schools.
