Greetings!
As the President of the Board of Trustees of Challenge Air, I can tell you that we are all well and good. The charity continues to function as a profitable sustainable organization and many people continue to be positively impacted by our work. By looking forward to the future as a bright source of relief, we are on the verge of completing the video of the virtual flyday event for our co-pilots. They will visually engage as pilots on a cell phone with special 3-D glasses. The simulation, as a virtual reality, was to fly an airplane, will be a great substitute for the type of in-person flying that we are well-known for. If you have a child or know a child with special needs, visit our website to keep track of the virtual flyday program so that you can help the child get enrolled as soon as the program is released. And, thanks to our donors, the virtual reality experience will be at no cost to each participant.
If you are a donor, we are so very grateful to have you on our team. If you are a Trustee on our Board of Trustees, thank you for your time, toil, and talents. If you are an employee, I can’t begin to tell enough you how much you are appreciated by April and by me. Donors, Trustees, and Employees are collectively focused on the same goal: building confidence and self-esteem in children and youth with special needs through the gift of flight! As a group working together, we are strong and viable.
Wearing a mask and staying home, is getting old. You have to do those things to be safe. We have to do the same things. Just remember this, as soon as the virus gets under control, we will be back in the air!
