Dear Jefferson Families,
On behalf of the PTA Board, I would like to welcome you to the 2021-2022 school year.
My name is Gloria Macri and I am honored to be your PTA President this year. I have two children at Jefferson. Colin, our eldest, is going into 5th grade and Olivia, our youngest, will be starting 2nd grade. I have been involved in the PTA for the last four years as VP of Communication and as Chair of the Membership Program. I have served, until recently, as the Associate Director of the Redondo Beach Educational Foundation (RBEF). I am committed to fundraising which will help provide the best educational opportunities for our students.
Our last school year was far from typical. Yet our teachers and administrators were absolutely fantastic and our students showed great resilience and persevered despite the challenges thrown their way. The PTA worked hard to support our students, teachers, and families during these unprecedented times.
We start the new school year full of hope and with extraordinary energy. We will continue to successfully work with the school and the District to help foster a safe and engaging year of learning and growing for our children. Every year, the PTA supports school specific programs such as field trips, assemblies, community events, Hands on Art with volunteer docents and grants for teacher supplies.
We can make a positive impact in the lives of children and families only with your support! Here are some ways in which you can help:
Become a PTA member It only costs 15$/person to join and our goal is to have 100% participation of our teachers and families. Memberships are 100% tax deductible.
Donate Please consider making a donation to the PTA. All donations are 100% tax deductible.
Volunteer to help support our programs and initiatives!
Stay Connected Keep up-to-date with everything happening in the school by signing up to receive our weekly newsletter Dolphin Did You Know (DDYK), by following us on the social media channels, and also by attending the PTA Meetings. Please save the date for our first Association meeting on Sep 9th at 6:00PM.
Apart from supporting the PTA, please consider making an investment in the students of Redondo Beach during the RBEF Investor Drive (Sep 8–24). The PTA and RBEF have an excellent collaboration and we are working together to support our amazing students!
