Summer Parking

The Los Rios colleges will not be issuing student parking permits for the summer 2023 semester, but students should only park in student designated parking spaces. Please be sure to follow all parking rules such as only parking in handicapped spots if you have the appropriately issued placard and no parking in fire or loading zones, as violations of these could result in a ticket.

Welcome Los Rios Director of Student Mental Health Services

As part of our districtwide effort to build on and expand Los Rios’ mental health and wellness service delivery for students, Taylor Johnson has been appointed to serve as Los Rios’ new Director of Student Mental Health.

Taylor is a licensed marriage family therapist and has worked in the mental health field for more than nine years. Taylor’s experience developing and managing Wellness Centers, from program development, implementation, oversight, staffing, data collection, and reporting, provides a strong foundation for our collective efforts to build and grow a culturally sensitive and supportive mental health and wellness program for Los Rios. Taylor’s work with foster youth and students from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds, as well as her work to create welcoming environments for all students and staff alike, also provides a good foundation as she builds upon Los Rios’ efforts to expand mental health services for the district’s diverse student communities.

To learn more about Taylor and the other members of Los Rios' Mental Health and Wellness Services Team and to request support services, visit the Mental Health and Wellness Services webpage.

From Surviving to Thriving

*Womxn students who are survivors of intimate partner violence (IPV) are invited to join us for an eight-week in person therapy group offered by ARC's therapist interns. This in-person group will allow students with difficult shared

experiences an opportunity to connect and build support. We will focus on tools

to process emotions, identifying unhealthy relationships and how to bring

forward inner strengths and work towards healing. This group will be open for

the first two sessions for any student interested and then will close to allow

participants a more private space to connect with for the remainder of the

sessions. No registration is needed; plan to attend the first and second sessions to sign up for the remainder of the group. Note change in room location following the first group.
