Dear Beaver Families,

I’m writing to share about a beloved member of the Beaver community, Bob Lang, who passed away suddenly last night.

As a member of Beaver’s Buildings and Grounds Crew, Bob loved anything to do with making school safer and more fun for Beaver students. He was very kind, had a tremendous sense of humor, loved a good costume, and always brought laughter and cheer out in those lucky enough to be around him.

From the celebratory and outlandish Beaver events and festivities, to the things we needed every day to make school run smoothly, Bob played a huge part in making that happen for us. Even if you didn’t know him directly, he made all of our days better, so I wanted to share this with you so we can all join in our appreciation and gratitude for him. Upper School students learned of his passing in a meeting today, and Middle School students will in their meeting on Thursday.

There will be more sharing in the days to come, but I wanted to make parents and guardians aware that your students have heard this, or will be, over the next couple of days.

If you think that your student would want to speak to an adult at Beaver about this, please contact Tara Paulauskas, Director of Counseling and Health Services.
