DEAR PARA MEMBERS,

We are happy to announce that PARA has an exclusive pricing arrangement for the 4th Annual 9/11 Memorial 5K Run/Walk  on Sunday, April 24.  The event, which  begins at 8:00 a.m., is a part of a Community Day event to benefit the 9/11 Memorial and Museum, and connects the neighborhoods of TriBeCa and Battery Park City with entertainment, food and activities for many ages.

PARA's special pricing includes a discounted registration fee ($35 instead of $45 for regular adult tickets) for the event and FREE entry per ticket to the September 11 Memorial Museum. Price i ncludes registration, T-shirt and bag.  The registration deadline ends April 22, 2016, so please act now!    Museum tickets must be used on the race day only, with entry prior to 1:00 p.m. PARA is the only group that will receive the free entry per ticket (registration) to the Museum that day.

The event begins at Pier 26 in TriBeCa, continues along the Battery Park City esplanade and finishes near the 9/11 Memorial and Museum.

There is a post-race/walk Bib 'n Brunch, with discounts for Run/Walk participants at many Lower Manhattan restaurants.

Click here to register and type in "Port" as the promotion code. This code will give PARA members the special $35 price when you register (regular adult registration is $45). Your $35 registration will also include one ticket to the 9/11 Memorial Museum. Museum tickets must be used on race day with entry prior to 1:00 p.m.

We hope that you and your families can be part of this event.

Thank you for your continuing support of PARA.

Sincerely,

YOUR PARA BOARD

WHAT IS PARA?

The Port Authority Retirees Association (PARA), a not-for-profit corporation, was formed in 1989 to promote the welfare of retirees of the Port Authority (and PATH). That is accomplished by PARA's acting as spokesperson for Port Authority retirees. We foster and encourage legislation that maintains or improves our circumstances primarily as it affects the pensions of the New York State Retirement System. Our more than 4,200 members are strengthened by PARA's affiliation with the Alliance of Public Retiree Organizations (APRO) representing more than 350,000 members.
