SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
Dear Lycée Families,

You may have heard our Mayor LaToya Cantrell who, during her press conference, stated that New Orleans is to remain in Phase 2 for now.
Thank you to all parents/guardians who completed the Patton Re-Entry Feedback - Family Survey. Since some families are choosing to continue in a remote instruction model and some are opting for in-person learning, it is essential that we have the highest rate of survey completion so that we can make the best and most appropriate instructional and operational plans. Please complete the survey by September 17th. There will be follow up communications on next steps by September 25th. We are activating our community partners (Children’s Hospital, transportation and meal service vendors) to make sure we can support students and families in all areas of school life when in-person return becomes effective.

Any relevant information about the Johnson Campus will be communicated by the end of next week.

General Information
Patton ReEntry Feedback Family Survey
Thank you to all parents who have shared your feedback on Lycée's current virtual educational program. Many NOLA Public Schools have shared plans that included rolling start dates for in-person educational options, focusing on the youngest students. According to the LFNO plan shared in July, all grades are planned to be virtual through the end of the term on October 30th, however, we are looking for your feedback at this juncture. The purpose of this survey is to gauge your needs and preferences to evaluate our resources and develop an earlier return plan of action. We remain committed to maintaining a healthy and safe community as well as providing the best educational opportunities for our students. CLICK HERE FOR SURVEY
Start the Adventure in Reading Free Tutoring
Know a grade 2 or 3 public or charter student could benefit from virtual reading support? Start the Adventure in Reading (STAIR) is providing FREE one-on-one tutoring. STAIR's virtual curriculum helps reinforce decoding, fluency, and comprehension skills. During the fall program, students will participate in a one-on-one, 60-minute virtual tutoring session once a week after school or on Saturday mornings, pre-recorded video lessons, have access to a year-long subscription to a digital library service, maintain a creative writing journal with weekly assignments and gain confidence in writing. To participate, visit stairnola.org or call 504-202-8187. Registration is closing soon.
EXTENDED DAY PROGRAMS
Remote tutoring is no longer accepting applications from students. Remote tutoring will begin for 1st and 2nd grade at Patton on Monday, 9/21 from 2:15PM-2:45PM and from 3:00PM-3:30PM. Each student accepted into the program will be assigned one time slot, once a week on either Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday. Parents will receive this information via email next week.
