ABOUT THE RACE

Come be a part of our third annual through the historic district of Longwood. All of the proceeds will go to benefit historic preservation in Longwood, via the Longwood Historic Society. The society maintains three buildings within the district that were built in the 1870s and 1880s. We need your help to raise money for the continued restoration and preservation necessary to keep them around for another generation! The race will begin and end at the Historic Civic Center in downtown Longwood's historic district.
It will be fun, family-friendly, and Halloween-themed. We invite runners to wear costumes and will be awarding prizes for the best costumes. There will be a free kids dash immediately before the 5K. We will be playing plenty of family appropriate music, including Halloween favorites to get you into the spirit.
SEMINOLE COUNTY COVID INFORMATION
If you, or someone you know, is unable to leave the house, let us meet you at home! Residents may call 1-800-96-ELDER to inquire about #COVID19 shots in their area.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: The CDC moratorium on evictions has ended; Seminole County is committed to ensuring families receive assistance, if needed, and reminds residents that grants are available for low or very low-income households impacted by COVID-19. Seminole County’s Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) has approximately $3.6 million in funding remaining, while the Emergency Mortgage Assistance Program (EMAP) has nearly $1.5 million in remaining grants.

Of Seminole County’s 167,500 households, it is estimated that 45,000 are below 80% of the average median income. If these families can show a loss of wages, loss of hours worked, or other income loss due to COVID-19, they may qualify for past-due rent/mortgage and utility payments.
