PASTOR APPRECIATION MONTH

October is Pastor Appreciation Month! The Staff/Parish Relations Committee invites you to appreciate Pastor Joel by leaving him a note in the "Manly basket" in the Narthex. Blank notecards and pens are available in the narthex or you may bring your card ready to drop off. If you are uncomfortable entering the building, feel free to mail to Aledo UMC, ATTN: Pastor Appreciation. We'll drop it in the basket for you! (Cards accepted for the entire month of October.)
ALL SAINTS SUNDAY
Sunday, November 7th

All Saints is a day of remembrance. We remember the departed, both of the Church universal and of our local congregation. If you wish for a loved one to be remembered, please fill out a card at the Connection Center and place a bell on the banner that will be processed during both services.
VETERANS SUNDAY
Sunday, November 14th

We are asking all veterans to wear their service branch insignia on Sunday, November 14th, so we can honor your service to our country.
Sunday, November 21st, 7:00pm

If the approaching holidays fill you with sadness or anxiety, come to a Service of Hope. It is a time to grieve dreams that have slipped away, mourn loved ones who have passed on, and to embrace the hope that is ours through Jesus Christ. This event is hosted by Aledo UMC and our Stephen Ministry. All are welcome.
FINANCIAL UPDATE

So far 2021 has been a year of opportunity for our church. Our staff has done a wonderful job of providing opportunities to grow our faith and our church in the community. And YOU have done an awesome job embracing these opportunities. Our church’s YTD operating account is positive. Our expenses are under budget and our contributions are steady. We ended 2020 strong and hope to do the same in 2021. We have several projects that we would like to initiate in 2022.  We start working on our 2022 budget and will have our Stewardship Campaign the first of next year. Please continue to support your church financially and help keep this positive momentum going for our awesome church.

On behalf of the Finance Committee – Thank You!!!
Rhonda Evers

God’s people faithfully brought in the contributions, tithes, and dedicated gifts.

HOW TO HELP
