Wawa Flagship Store at Broad & Walnut to Close for Good

Citing the Covid-19 pandemic and attendant current operational uncertainties, Wawa has announced that its flagship store at Broad and Walnut Streets will be closing its doors permanently. The store opened in 2015 but has struggled of late due to the shutdown of nearby offices and restaurants due to the pandemic. "The decision is a difficult one", the company said in a statement, but added, "our long-term plans for this store are no longer viable".
